"Went for labs and check in went smooth. Then I waited about 30-45 minutes for bloodwork ONLY just for the guy who came in after me to go first. He was in and out of the building in 10 minutes max and I had been there waiting for 30 minutes minimum. And not to mention any regular appointments I’ve had I not ONCE saw my primary care doctor. I walked out. Highly recommend NOT bothering with the pittston geisinger and taking the longer drive to the location in Kingston."
"I liked my doctor at the office across the street from pediatrics. Except I had to wait at least an hour for her every time I made an appointment. She never gets back to me on the mygeisinger website, they schedule too many appointments too close together (more money for the company), it took me weeks to get my physical form back that I needed for work because no one could locate it or I was told over and over it wasn't finished. This location is awful, and after the lawsuit and the death of those babies at one of their hospitals I think I will be leaving geisinger all together."
"Been trying to call for 3 days in a row now. Twice a day. I keep getting told "we'll send your message back to the nurses station for the doctor and they'll call you back" well guess what? No call back! Tried to make an appointment and they cant get me in for two months! So what's the point in even having a doctor if I'm just going to keep suffering every day. Thanks geisinger. I think it's time to go elsewhere!"
"The people were very friendly, pretended to know what they were doing. Then I got a call telling me that the woman i scheduled an appointment with had put me with a doctor that did not even work that day. Then I finally got my appointment and they said they'd have physical therapy called me. It has been 2 weeks, still no call."
"I got home from physical therapy June 1st. Dr Spagnolini (don't care if I spelled it right at this point) was sent paperwork for medical supplies/i.e.b./more. It's now September 12th at 11:10 pm est at the time of writing this and found a voice mail from a home care company saying they STILL didn't get the paperwork from him and, well, enough is enough On top of the forms being faxed to the office, it was hand delivered to them twice. Reps in the office told me the physical copies are still sitting there, they are in the computer for him, AND the faxes are there. Even the Geisinger advocate I was given who said she'd get on him about it didn't get the paperwork that ONLY REQUIRES A SIGNATURE (according to those who sent said paperwork our) signed. Absolutely 100% unacceptable. What's worse, I was informed by an office employee all faxes go to a master in pile, get sorted once a week, then take another week to get the dr to sign. So even in that two week period these urgent papers are still not signed and now I have to wait months to apply again for some of the help I desperately need for health and financial reasons from what people waiting on these papers told me. Oh, and prescription refills? Forget it. Up to an hour wait to leave a message, and even then they may not refill. I called and even e-mailed through my geisinger and I've been without the blood thinner refill since, prescribed to me because I can't walk at the moment and a preventative for blood clots. And emergency appointments? Forget it. I called for an urgent appointment and was told they had nothing open with any doctor or p.a. there, and that the NEW dr they brought in to ease patient load only made things worse. In order to be seen for an emergency, or in general, I have to wait three months. THREE MONTHS FOR AN EMERGENCY! Or pay out the ass for the urgent care clinic located in the building, which much of the staff suggested I use multiple times instead. And when I FINALLY got an emergency appointment, they called back and said my legs swelling up for no reason and being in extreme pain is not an emergency. Finally there's the staff. Only one or two of the ladies who work there I've dealt with were nice and helpful. The rest were miserable, rude, ignorant, and incredibly dismissive. So many times I had to restrain myself from talking back the same way, but I'm stuck here until the new doctor I want to see gets his new office up and running. If i could rate this place 0 out of 5 stars, I would. This place is an absolute joke and I wouldn't be surprised if they get hit with a lawsuit for negligence given how badly they ignore me and my requests. I only chose this doctor because I trusted him due to dealing with him when I was admitted to Geisinger Wilkes-Barre following an m.s. flare-up a few years ago, but in no way would I ever recommend him, or even any other doctor or r.n. given how they are apparently too busy to properly handle the patients they have and how ignorant most of the staff there is."
