Reviews of Medicus Urgent Care
"The few times I've been here I've been pretty happy with the care my family and I've received. I'm not one to leave a review but Steven Kravits was just so wonderful and even followed up with me about my 4 year old first thing the morning after seeing him and helped ease some of the anxieties and difficulties around my son's illness. Just so grateful for a healthcare worker that listened, brainstormed and truly just seemed to care. We hope to see him again... but not anytime soon hopefully."
"The staff was not only friendly but very quick. I brought my 3 year old for a strep test.. they had stickers and things to keep her occupied in the waiting room and exam room. Very pleased! The one young female PA who saw us was awesome."
"Services were provided quickly & politely. Doctors were very knowledgeable & caring. They listened to my concerns and reassured me. I left and received my test results later that week. Overall a great and speedy process. I would definitely come back to this location. Thank you!"
"It used to be good here, there was a male PA and male Dr who were great. My last two times here were terrible. In July I brought my sick son in who was lethargic with a fever and was told by a female Dr. that I was over reacting and "kids get sick with colds" and she refused to listen to my son's health history. I took him to the children's hospital in Allentown & he had severe pneumonia. I figured since they don't often do pediatrics I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. I myself went this week and saw a female practitioner who just rude and kept speaking over me, insisting I had the flu. Yet she refused to prescribe Tamiflu because my rapid tests came back negative for everything, claimed unless I had a positive flu test she could not prescribe Tamiflu (not true). I was also refused antibiotics she felt it was the flu. Total contradiction. I did a two day swab for a full viral panel and for 3 days no one called me back (secretary confirmed results were in morning of day 2 but a nurse had to tell me). I was even hung up on. Finally a nurse called me & told me the full virus panel was negative. They again refused to give me antibiotics or anything else even though I kept insisting I felt like I had an upper respiratory infection and had even begun to lose my voice. She also hung up on me. I went to another urgent care and I have a severe bilateral ear infection and bronchitis. I can't believe how rude and inept this location is. I wouldn't recommend it for a dog. And I'm not an idiot; I work in healthcare and give a reliable health history of my chronic sinus infections, ear infections, and URIs."
"I came in for a physical for work, all was fine. The doctor, Dr. Steven, seemed nice and connected with me on a personal level about my ED. He then said I needed a TB test and I quote “it’s just a needle between your skin”. Left the room, and fine. I’m assuming they are taking blood or plasma, because and I explained, I get blood tests done regularly for my NAFLSD and eating disorder, I also signed HIPPA paperwork disclosing they could contact my PCP for those results. Nurse comes in with the needle and explains it’s the test, so on and so forth results in a couple days, I already don’t like needles so I had my sleeves rolled up and ready for whatever arm she wanted to do, she wiped with the alcohol pad, I looked away bc needles make me very sick, and then I felt an intense burning sensation in my arm, she talked through the whole thing about what she was doing, but when I looked back and realized I’d just been injected with something, I said “did you just give me something?” She looked surprised and shocked at first and stubbled over her words, but reassured me it was fine. I told her I was not expecting an injection, and that’s fine, move on to another part of the exam. While waiting for the next part of the exam I called and told my PCP what had happened and he requested I come to him with paperwork of everything they did, and what they injected me with, he wanted the brand that makes the test, everything. When leaving, I asked for this paperwork, and instead of giving it to me politely, Dr. Steven wanted to re-read a bottom portion of the physical paperwork to “protect his license”, I said that was fine and I understood, but I still needed the paperwork for my doctor to review what just happened. He refused to give me the paperwork because I needed to return in two days for the results of the test. I again informed him, I get these tests all the time, it’s always blood work, and I just had one done. He still refused to give me my paperwork, and said I needed to sign something, I said okay, when he left the room before the door closed I could hear an “oh my god” with an attitude that just completely contradicted his “nice guy bedside demeanor” so I said “I don’t need the omg, have a great day” and I left. Never in my life have I ever. Now I’m on my way to my PCP for another blood test and vitals because, I was not suppose to be injected with anything."
