"Waste of time! Went for musculoskeletal pain which I told the doctor has been treated successfully numerous times in the past with a short course of steroids, X-rays and EKG were done and I was told they were normal. I was told to go the ER for a blood test they couldn’t do. 45 minutes later the ER wanted to do another EKG! And another large copay to the ER for a negative blood test. 3 yrs ago this place missed 3 fractured ribs on my X-ray and things haven’t improved!"
"Cause I can’t give them a zero. Literally said nothing to me when I walked in with my fiancé until they were going to take him back then said I had to wait in the car no visitors allowed. Meanwhile another couple was allowed to go back together right before us. I used to work in a hospital too, gave him the wrong diagnosis. Gave him meds and wrapped his arm, for what was clearly a break and it was retaining fluid. Then the staff was talking about not letting anyone in after 720. When they close at 8. Laziest medical staff that I have ever encountered. Will not go back."
"Since covid they have been slower but i feel like thats understandable with the sheer amount of medical staff that are being over worked and quitting. I quite enjoy staff trying to joke and make you feel a little better and also the ability to tell you hey this thing you're going through isnt weird others have gone through it. It really sucks that now they have to turn people away at 7 - 7:30 because they simply don't have the staff to care for everyone. Ive only had one bad experience with a NURSE there. They really are trying and infact caught that the antibiotic my mom was given elsewhere was not right because it combined with a medication she takes daily could cause sudden cardiac arrest (aka your heart suddenly stops). Please be kind to medical staff. They really have needed it in these resent years."
"After waiting to be registered for a half hour, I was told to leave because intake woman "wasn't allowed to register anyone else". You would think they would have told me before I waited a half hour. Before I left she asked what I was there for, in front of a room full of people. Does that not violate HIPAA? ETA: I got there at 6pm. I was told to leave at 6:30. They "close" at 8pm."
"I've gone to the Urgicare at Chestnut Ridge twice now. Both times I've been seen by Dr. Rasefske. The place is quiet and calm. The intake person was kind and efficient. The first time the waiting room was full, so there was a wait time. The second time it was not full. I expect to wait because it is not by appointment. However, once I was taken back, the nurses/ assistants were very good and efficient. The doctor takes time with each patient, he is a very good listener and very thorough with his exam. Unlike the other urgicare, you feel like a human being instead of a number. I have to travel to get to this Urgicare but I would rather go there than the one in Indiana. As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the best medical offices in the county."
