Reviews of Kensington Crossing
"While visiting my children at the holiday times, I realize the unit had a problem. We contacted management to my surprise they had sent someone over shortly after that, his name is Benjamin. He was very nice, polite and courtesy, we don’t find that too much in these times. He did rectify the problem, and I was very pleased. Being a landlord myself, it’s hard to find good people that know what they’re doing. Thank you Kensington Crossing, we need more people like Benjamin. Thank you MC"
"If I could give zero stars I would do not live here the 5 star reviews they have are paid for. They do not care about the families that live here the problems I have had at this apartment I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. To start the original apartment I lived in flooded and I couldn’t live in it for a month. To top that the second apartment they wanted to move us into wasn’t ready for weeks and then they charged us a month to month rate for there mistake. For the love of god do not move here"
"Many of the reviews especially the recent ones have been paid for by the leasing office. There is a competition for the best 5 star review and you win a $200 gift card. I can't be be bought regardless of their overpriced rent needing a discount and my review is as follows: We have been staying at Kensington Crossing for about 2 months. When we started the move in process the maintenance was not done so we were delayed but I brushed it off. About 2 weeks after we moved in our dryer stopped blowing hot air. We had to tumble our clothes 6-8 times to dry them. I put in a service request immediately and it took over a month to have it done. I went to the office multiple times and was told that there were multiple emergencies like multiple buildings losing power, access to water, and several units not having functioning a/c, therefore I was not a priority. There was even a mass email sent about the air conditioners being broken in multiple units and how maintenance was not going to come collect the heavy window units they left after finally fixing the air. I find it extremely concerning that in a neighborhood full of children and just rent paying citizens in general, that people do not have access to air, water, and a way to keep their food cold. Then I am running my electricity up with the dryer because their buildings are falling apart from their cheap renovations. The cabinets are not painted, modern, or appealing. Close up they are plastic, cheap and peeling. There are paint splatters everywhere. My laundry room door is literally falling off. The handle to my bathtub is falling off and underneath is mold and mildew. The oven door is falling off. Half of the plugs do not work. The "club room is a small room with a futon and a pool table with chips in it and the cues are damaged at the top and unusable. There is a $65 fee to get a gym fob for an gym that is not full sized or 24 hours. I moved into this neighborhood with high hopes and I find myself extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. I pay above market price for a 1 bedroom apartment and I did so for a renovated apartment with modern amenities to be INCLUDED. I will be moving at the end of my lease and recommending everyone I run into and share this with on social media to save their time and money looking elsewhere. ** An addition, my husband and I RSVP'd to what was advertised as a pizza party from 4-6:30. We got there at 5 and were informed that it was consumed by people who didn't RSVP. As a business, this would be something that would have some level of preparation because it was during public office hours. But aside from that, in a community of over 400 apartments they bought 5 boxes. Cheap and once again disappointed.**"
"We were looking for a quiet, updated apartment complex with a tight timeline and when I say Brendan Freeman with the leasing office at Kensington Crossing was amazing, I mean AMAZING. When I learned he had only started that week I was amazed because he handled everything I threw at him ease! This moving process has been confusing and difficult but Brendan was a breathe of fresh air with this process. He was communicative, timely and really focused on our needs in an apartment. I’m so glad I found my new home Kensington Crossing and it is all thanks to Brendan Freeman. I will gladly recommend anyone to this apartment complex and highly recommend having Brendan as a leasing agent! This complex is pet friendly with a fenced in dog park that my dogs LOVE to run in. It’s in a lovely quiet neighborhood with plenty of access to shopping within a short drive."
