Monticello Apartment

"Have liv ed here for 11 years. The apartments are a classic 1960/70 style with lovely greenery, convenient floors palns and parquet floors that are beautifully cleaned and finished with every new tennant. Any time we have had a problem, the management/maintenance staff have responded in a fair timeframe. They are apologetic if they seem to be taking a bit too long. We had to be delayed for our fix once: A: Our prblem wasn't an emergency B: another aportment had a problem with a resident leaving the water running in the kitchen that stopped up the sink, then over flowed so seriously that the kitchen ceiling in the apartment below caved in. Of course, we understood, especially since we had a stopped up sink 9 years ago and they were in our place within an hour AT 12:15 A.M. Easter Eve!! All of our repairs have been done completely and when called for, cleaned up like new. Rarely is there a problem tennant and if a problem occurs, it is researched and if found sound, the tennants are notified. If not corrected, then their residency is nulified and they must leave. Great location for quick walking to grocery, pharmacy, eateries and hospital. (including medical offices, labs and imaging sources) friendly tennants and pets . Caution though: visitors must park in assigned areas, especially after 7 p.m. to allow enough parking for residents (towing is enforced) - otherwise visiters are certainly welcome. "Cheap paint peeling off the walls and an air conditioner that doesn’t work properly that we’ve requested service on multiple times literally EVERY year since we moved in. A “maintenance technician” giving “it’s hot” as the reason why my apartment won’t cool is NOT a sufficient answer. I could go on beyond this, but it’s a waste of time. Can’t move out of here fast enough!!"

"There’s nothing not to love about living at Monticello Square Apts. The units are very spacious, with covered balconies, and anything you could need or want very close by. The lawns are kept impeccably maintained, and there’s always improvements going on to keep everything lovely. The very best part is the people that run the place. June, the property manager, is the sweetest, most helpful person you’ll ever meet! If something breaks, she gets the fix in motion usually the same day, and will help you always with anything she can. All of the maintenance men are friendly and helpful, but J.R. is the best of the best! A big shout out to J.R. for going above and beyond. His friendly nature, professionalism, and attention to detail is one of the best parts of living here. You know when he shows up to work on something, that you’re in good hands, and that means a lot! Monticello Square has a quiet, homey atmosphere, the neighbors are wonderful, and everyone looks out for one another. It’s an exceptional value for your money, as well. I feel very lucky to be here and proud to call it home. :)"

"I have lived at Monticello apartments for a little over two years. The apartments are very spacious and the rent is extremely reasonable. Any maintenance issues of which there are few are addressed right away. It is always a pleasure to deal with June in the rental office whether you are simply dropping off your rent check or have any questions or requests."

"My roommate and I moved in a few months ago, and we couldn't be happier. Being 20 and 21, we're still struggling to get ourselves settled in life, but we found this complex that is so amazing and super affordable- even with pets! Miss June, who works on site in the rental office, has got to be the sweetest lady we have ever met. She helped us with so much, not even faltering once. She listens and genuinely cares and helped get us into an apartment ASAP. She's amazing, as well as all the other maintenance crew. The community is very kind and wonderful, and generally quiet (though of course, there's occasionally a noisy neighbor anywhere you go). The apartment itself is spacious and covered with hardwood- a plus for me! All utilities are included, excluding cable/phone/internet, and considering how affordable rent already is, it's a steal. The only cons is a shared laundry room in the basement (which isn't a huge deal to me, honestly), and the lack of parking space in the part that we live in, because it is narrower. It's often hard to find places to park if you work late, but June has been trying her best to help resolve this. Although other areas of the complex don't seem to have this issue. Despite this, the pros outweigh the cons by far. I couldn't be happier with where we decided to stay! I love this place!"
