"The building is nice and in a good location with cool amenities. The apartment experience team is amazing. They put on really cool and engaging events that really help build community and make living here a lot more fun!"
"One of the best locations I've ever lived in, I really enjoy the community here at Highland Park! The staff are friendly and understanding, the building service team are fast with fulfilling requests and the apartment actually knows how to throw pretty solid events (which never happens in any other place I've lived in haha). What separates Highland Park from other apartments is definitely the community of people that I've met through these events. Huge shout-out to the HP staff, especially Anna and Stanley for providing such a welcoming community! The only thing is the rent has been increasing every year over the last few years but facility-wise, nothing is really improving to justify the cost. I don't want to move because of the community I've made here, but it is a concern that's been at the back of my mind for a while now. But overall, great place to live!"
"Highland Park is such a great place to live in Columbia Heights. It's a bit noisy, depending on the apartment you rent, but overall, the community in the apartment is the best. I've lived a little over a year here so far, and I've made many great friends in the building, enjoyed wonderful events organized by the Apartment Life Team, and overall, had a great experience being a resident here. Plus, the location is ideal, right next to the Columbia Heights metro and so many stores, restaurants, and bars in the area. I recommend anyone who moves to Columbia Heights check out this apartment building!"
"I lived here for a year. The leasing staff is the rudest people that exist on this earth. They were sweet while i was touring and had a 180 degree turn the next day. Especially Keisha, when i asked for ADU, she mentioned that if i dont wanna leave here, i should leave. They have other people applying to live here and they dont need us. The move out package i was sent, was wrong and they charged me 200$ extra for 3 days that KEISHA miscalculated. And she was even rude about it and never apologized. I had to even ask her 4 times to get the corrected move out package after she stopped screaming at me. Facility itself can be good, but the leasing staff is just the worst."
"I’ve had a very positive experience at Highland Park! The building is very clean, the staff are helpful and responsive, and having a 24/7 concierge is a great perk. It’s true what some reviewers say - the surrounding area can be a little chaotic but frankly I consider that a reasonable tradeoff for having such convenient access to major stores like Target and the metro/bus lines. I also personally haven’t had much of a noise problem from the street (try to get a unit facing the courtyard instead of the busy street, or get a higher unit if you’re worried about noise). Overall, the building feels safe and secure. The residents here are also great! I accidentally left my door cracked one time when I stepped out, and another resident closed my door for me and left me a note to let me know! Very neighborly :) I’ve been recommending this building to my friends and will continue to do so."
