Reviews of The Reserve at Eisenhower Apartments
"The leasing team is very outstanding and more efficient. The leasing consultant Jasmine has been very efficient and professional with her work and she guided me through the process of moving into my first place. I love this team and community"
"I’ve edited this review after several positive experiences with management in which they were able to assist us with sometimes complex issues, and after generally pleasant experiences regarding the cleanliness of the building and lack of noise heard/quality of sound insulation from neighboring units. We are currently in our 3rd year at the complex and intend to continue renewing our lease until we buy a home. Pros: -maintenance (especially Hugo) are responsive, experienced, kind and considerate -management has taken some concrete steps now to address the recent increase in property crime -the office is responsive to tenant needs and concerns. A few examples: noise complaints (far and few between) are always dealt with gently but effectively, and when my husband and I transferred to another unit but found when we arrived that it didn’t meet our expectations, they expeditiously did what they could to resolve the issue and got us into a much more suitable unit in 24 hours. -In general, this is a clean and quiet building. The units are insulated nicely from hallway noise and we have never experienced any pest issues here. Cons: -property crime has increased (see original review) -cost is somewhat high for the area -appliances seem to require frequent maintenance. We’ve had our AC malfunction 3 times and the dishwasher malfunction once in the past 3 months. Original review: I love my apartment, but we have had 2 vehicle thefts (in one week) and a serious increase in major property crime in the past months and management has been utterly hapless in addressing it. As nice as the units are, it’s not a safe place to live anymore, and installing security cameras in the garage is apparently out of the question. Shocked, disappointed."
"My boyfriend and I lived here for 1 year with our puppy. We came into the experience with an open mind. The unit is nice. Spacious. We were excited to have had a 2 bedroom. Enough space for us 3. As the months went by, we realized we weren’t happy with many things. Our surrounding neighbors across from us were very toxic and would fight almost every other day. The cops were always on that floor. I’m not sure if the dog area is kept but our dog got sick several times from something in the complex or outside. We spent so much money on veterinary visits. Since reading reviews about car break ins, we were constantly worried about our car being broken into. Also, hallways always smelled like weed. Maybe experiences are case to case but I would’ve much preferred to spent my money elsewhere. Not a very good area. Good learning experience."
"I love this apartment complex. Elena and her team made my move easy and effortless. They are very attentive and really take care of the residence and their residents. The maintenance team is always quick and efficient whenever I needed their help. The grounds are well-kept. The location is perfect for me - walking distance to a Metro station, close enough to major highways, a quick ride to DC, local restaurants, shops, and Old Town Alexandria. The facilities are clean and just what I need - pool and a mini gym. The cleaning crew is always around. Thank you, Elena and team for everything you do. Shoutout to Shawntey for being so responsive and helping me with the move-in process from start to finish. You guys are wonderful!"
"Do not live here! I have lived here for 10 months and I ended my lease early because it was so awful. - A pipe broke in the top floor and flooded several units. I had to move out of my apartment for two weeks. The complex manager told me it was just the cold weather that caused the pipe to burst, but my insurance reviewed the paperwork and said the complex was at fault. There was thousands of dollars of damage. They had to cut holes in the wall and the ceiling, rip out floor boards, and rip out the floor. They didn't move my stuff out of the unit first, and so it was covered in dust and grime. - That was the second of two flooding incidents. They did not replace the carpet for EITHER incident, just the carpet pad after the second incident. They do not plan to replace to replace the carpet for the next resident. - They changed my lock one night without telling me and so I was locked out of my apartment, unable to get to medication, and threw up several times as a result. The manager said they just changed the core and the old keys should work, but refused to go check my keys (that did not work!) with me to show her how I was locked out. - My dishwasher broke 5 times before they finally replaced it. - My partner's car was towed from GUEST parking because they arrived to the complex after the office was already closed, and I guess you need to have a parking pass? To park in guest parking. If the office is closed, you are out of luck and cannot park at the complex. - The fire alarm panels go off constantly with beeps. Google wouldn't let me upload the video, but it kept me up many nights. - Packages are stolen constantly. There were dozens of posts in the online portal of missing packages, packages being ripped open and abandoned in hallways, etc. Be weary!"
