"My experience with the management team at Clark Apartment, particularly during an attempt to explore Airbnb arbitrage opportunities, was significantly below expectations. Initially, my girlfriend and I were informed by Sade Ampey, a Sales and Marketing Associate, that Airbnb was permissible on the premises. This assurance led us to complete the application process, secure approval, and pay both an application fee and security deposit. Driven by this green light, we proceeded to invest in furniture and essentials, fully preparing for our move. Regrettably, a mere two days before our move-in date, we were blindsided by an email from the management, contradicting their earlier approval by stating that Airbnb was not allowed. The situation was further exacerbated by the management team’s lack of professionalism, a sentiment not shared with the more competent front desk associates. Despite the clear miscommunication on their part, efforts to resolve the issue were met with resistance. Raquel Centeno-Kim, the Assistant General Manager, particularly demonstrated a lack of empathy and fairness. She not only sided with her team but also refused to refund the application fee, despite the oversight originating from their initial misinformation. The ordeal of securing a refund for the security deposit was another frustrating chapter, culminating only after three months and numerous visits, each met with what felt like deliberate delays. While the front desk staff provided some solace with their professionalism, the overall management’s handling of the situation was disheartening. This experience has left me wary of the practices at Clark Apartment. I urge potential tenants to demand all permissions and policies be clearly stated in writing before making any commitments, to avoid the financial and emotional toll such misunderstandings can impose."

"It has been 1 year since i have lived at the Clark and i have had such a good experience i decided to renew my lease for a second year. Facilities are kept clean, maintenance is quick, staff is always friendly and helpful. If you choose to live at the Clark your expectations will be met! I am happy to call the Clark my home."

"The Clark was my home for about 3 years. I had to relocate for my job. I was sad to go as I really enjoyed my time here. The location is safe, walkable, and has many transportation options. There's a Harris Teeter in walking distance as well as Nova Patient Care across the street. The building is well maintained with quiet working spaces throughout. Any maintenance requests are handled promptly. I was grateful for the refrigerator for perishable deliveries and the large package room. The living space is very generous for a studio layout. It feels more like a one bedroom with a WIC, coat closet, large bathroom and full size WD. This place definitely set a high bar when looking for my next rental. I just want to thank The Clark Team for making my time here delightful. Douglas is a real gem and Jonathan is always so kind. They do a fabulous job as Concierge."

"I've lived here for almost four years. Amazing building, apartments are beautiful, and the staff is exceptional. All the leasing agents and concierges are extremely helpful and attentive. The service team is also attentive and knowledgeable for anything you need with your apartment or around the building. Residents are friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend this community."

"The best apartment I have ever lived. Great amenities, great appliances, and great service. The underground garage is large and bright, which makes parking easier and more convenient. The space in elevator is large enough for social distance during COVID 19 period. There are two beautiful gardens outside the building, which are wonderful for residents to go for a walk after dinner. The view outside the window is great. I can even see Capitol Hill on balcony. I like floor-to-ceiling windows here, and this is an important factor for me to choose this apartment. Each apartment is equipped with GE appliances, including fridge, microwave oven, washing machine and driers, and they make life easier. The central AC system is advanced and there is totally no noise. The building management staff are so friendly and professional. They were able to greet me by calling my name even though I was wearing a mask. The welcome gifts while moving in are a big surprise to me. Other amenities like package locker, door control system makes living here safer and more convenient. Although this place is a little far from the metro station of Crystal City, there is a bus station close to the building. Meanwhile, the residents here can enjoy 50$ public traffic subsidy per month (Google FAST program for detail). The most important thing is, the rent here is lower compared to other similar high-class apartments in northern Crystal City. I definitely recommend this place."
