"I just had to write another review. There is a cockroach infestation in my apartment, which I keep very clean at all times. They're in the kitchen, bathroom, living room. It's an unsanitary and uninhabitable living situation. I've called maintenance every-time, and while they do come, it's clear whatever product they are supplied with does not work with pest control. I feel very helpless. DO NOT MOVE HERE."
"So far the only complaint I have is the weed smell in the halls, but hey this is DC it could be worse!!!! Dominique and the staff have been amazing during move in, and all of my concerns have been handled professionally and in a timely manner. The apartment is huge and very clean upon move in. So far my experience has been nice."
"Not super impressed with my experience thus far. Aside from one person, the leasing office is not very friendly or helpful. There's been a lack of communication with maintenance, which makes me very uncomfortable when they come into my unit without me being notified beforehand. In addition, two of my packages have been stolen within a 4 day period, and there's been nothing done about it. There's no cameras in the buildings, so the people that steal get away with it. Frustrating that I get to suffer the consequences of their actions. Anyway, my unit is beautiful. The sound insolation is absolute trash, but whatever. Hopefully things get better. Update: it's been almost a year, and it's been absolutely miserable. Constant roaches and bugs, crime happening in the complex itself, the locks on the doors don't work. I feel anxious being here and there is no empathy from the office with the issues they could easily help with, such as fixing locks. I regret moving here."
"Be careful when dealing with this company. My daughter applied for an apartment here and as her move-in day got closer, we hadn't heard back, despite having paid $150 in application fees and providing all the paperwork they requested. When we contacted them to ask about the delays, they said the rate would be over $700 more per month than the rate they applied for! After a long phone conversation, they explained that the move-in date had passed (because they had taken too long to process the application) and they had to reprice the apartment due to "market demand." I contacted them for an explanation, and the leasing team said they didn't know anything about the $700 increase but said the apartment was no longer available. They offered a different apartment with the same floor plan for $300 more than the original agreed-to price. I asked if we could get our application fees back since the apartment we applied for was no longer available due to their delays, but they declined. I asked if they could confirm that the original apartment was no longer available. She looked it up and said it actually was still available and that my daughter could still rent it, but now for $300 more than what they originally agreed to. When I asked why she couldn't get the price they quoted, she repeated that the move-in date had passed and there was no way to change the rate in the system. I told them I'd contact the corporate office to see if *they* could make the change in their system, and we ended the call. A couple of days after I left the message with the corporate office, they contacted my daughter's roommate and said they'd honor the original rate. At this point, my daughter and her roommate found a better apartment elsewhere and decided that this place seemed too sketchy to deal with. Not sure if it was incompetence or shady business practices, but I'm glad my daughter found a better option and we're only out $150 for dealing with this company."
"Rude, unhelpful staff. Only concerned about liability & not tenant safety. Apartment was NOT CLEAN upon move in & reeked of animal odor that took months to get out. Was not informed of anything upon move-in & had to figure everything out. This has resulted in ALL my packages being stolen both from the mail room and from my front door — and the office does not care to address this. >$100 in additional fees per month, so don’t let the rent price fool you. Super slow, unprofessional maintenance. I have been living with a leaky, broken refrigerator for two months. They replaced one that had completely stopped working after a 3 day wait — after being told they were going to come every single day, resulting in me having to throw away $200+ worth of food. And now I’ve had a new leaky one for the past month. And they now say I have to wait at least another few weeks to get it fixed. Not worth the price or stress. Better deals can be found elsewhere."
