Massage Envy,

"Had a horrible and nightmarish facial at this massage envy location. Broke out in a rash the day afterwards (see picture attached) and was told by the esthetician that it was a "normal reaction." During one of the masks, I felt instant burning and tingling and esthetician said it was because the pores were open for the extractions. I am very uncomfortable and disappointed with the level of service that I received. I've had facials done for over 15 years and only had 2 rashes that occurred and the first was an allergic reaction to bamboo. This one is an allergic reaction too. Esthetician was not very professional and was defensive and blamed me for the rash, saying that it was because of the extractions that I broke out! Manager conveyed to me that franchise owner is not even able to refund me the money even though my face is covered in a rash. They were not willing to help me in any way and despite my assurances that I had a rash, I was told they zoomed in on my pictures and noticed that it was only red. This was untrue as I had bumpy raised skin and a rash all over my face. I will not be returning to this location."

"Kind of frustrating. Went for a specific problem. Stated that my thigh and hip were in pain. Asked for med to firm pressure, had to ask again because it was really light like a Swedish. She spent the majority of time working on my calf. Never worked on my hip and only barely touched my thigh. I told her twice hip and thigh only. Obviously she didn't want to or didn't know how to help with those areas. After asking twice you feel like something isn't right. So I didn't ask a third time. She was nice and my calf feels good but my hip and thigh still are painful."
