Reviews
"The 2 star review is basically because of the front office staff. The environment would have been very habitable except for NOISY neighbors whom the Apartment couldn't do anything about. Barely 2 months of move-in, it's been hell coping with Loud music banging from the Apartment right under . Complaint has been made to the office but nothing seems to have changed and I doubt if anything will change. Most likely moving out at the end of the expiration of the lease."
"Moved here in July 2023 with a nice unit. The on-site management team is top-notch and always willing to help with any questions or concerns I had. Additionally the maintenance team (shout out to Ryan Powell) was incredibly helpful during any unexpected issues, and they always responded quickly and efficiently. The complex grounds always well maintained and quiet. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a convenient place to call home. With its excellent amenities and beautiful living spaces, this community truly stands out in the area."
"DO NOT RENT HERE! Uncontrolled mice and roaches; worst infestation I’ve ever experienced! Poor service when it comes to their amenities! They hire rude lifeguards who allow germs in the pool and tell your kids it’s safe when it’s not, they curse at your kids who are simply playing and get rude with you as the parent and tell you how to parent. The rental office is rude and so is corporate VP Chrystal Sholtz. They try to force you out of your home even when you are paying rent, god forbid you a little behind and show effort they won’t take partial payment arrangements and they harrass you through TEXT, emails, phone calls, notes on doors non stop, and then they gang up on people with group chats mandating you leave your home before you even go to court, all while paying off your debt. They have zero humanity and remorse for people when they go through a hard time. I know several tenants who experience this throughout a long period of time. DO NOT RENT! They should be torn down and shut down. They don’t even get a 1 star in my book. Don’t be fooled by the low rent, run! Oh and the theft and car break in is so bad and they have a lot of attempted home break ins and they do nothing about it!!! They say oh well! They have parking on the side for people then call a rude ticket lady who comes out every morning to place a ticket on your car yet there aren’t signs that say “no parking” anywhere. Just here to save the next hard working family from making a big mistake."
"Initially when we moved in, there were several renovations, such as new windows, new balcony rails and new balcony doors. It was a fabulous upgrade. Also, the management team does an excellent job keeping the grounds well manicured. However, the downside is that in the 7 plus years that we've lived in these apartments, we've had at least 3, maybe 4 or five neighbors who repeatedly play their music so loud that it causes the floors and walls in our apartment, to vibrate to the extent that we can't even hear our radios or tablets without severe disturbance. Today, the rental office called our neighbor and asked them to please turn the music down at 11am'ish in the morning. They respond with "its my birthday" then they nicely turn down the volume, but now at 7:18pm the music is blasting again. The way I feel is that if you want to throw a party or celebrate your birthday, or any other event - fine, but do it in a space that doesn't inconvenience or disturb your neighbors, or at least have the common curtesy to let your neighbors know in advance. Happy birthday to our neighbor, but lets show some consideration, and may God bless all the tenants and management team at Hilltop Apartments. Cheers!"
"Lesson learned. Pay attention to the reviews. For the record, not one of the pictures on the website matches the condition of the apartment that I was shown. The staff is ONEderful. In fact, they are the only reason this property gets a one star. It's a shame that they have to work with such poor materials. I put in an application to rent and wanted to get a close look before moving in. I'm glad I did that before signing the lease. I thought that I could live it. I can't. The "move-in ready" condition is in disrepair and dirty. The cabinets are sticky to the touch, and have remaining evidence of a lost battle with roaches. The bathroom must have had recent water damage from an upper unit because the ceiling bubbles and pushes in at the slightest touch. The damage runs into the bedroom closet and I wouldn't trust that more water damage wouldn't occur. I've included some of the "move-in ready pics below."
