"Location is the best, so close to campus, restaurants, bars, CVS, Starbucks and Trader Joe's. Each apt is owned by different owners, so the condition, decor, furnishings, rent/mo varies. On site managment office, and they are good and responsive. It is an older building relative to the new TROW. Standard and Union, but overall positive experience living here for 2 years- saved me loads of money."
"Honestly, it wasn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I never had an issue with bugs or management. But I also think it depends on who your landlord is. It seems like bugs are more of an issue on the lower floors as I never had any bugs living on the fifth floor (Knox building). So far I only had one unplanned water outage but other than that, everything went smoothly. Pros -Best price for location (payed around $800 a month) - FOB used to get into building for security as well as passcode for apartment door -From my experience, rooms are decent sized (better sized than Terrapin Row anyways) and closets are usually pretty big -Unfurnished (I prefer it that way). You get to make your room more roomy and unique. Plus bringing your own mattress is 10X better than typical dorm mattresses -You choose your own wifi (at least with my apartment) so you don't have to worry about slow wifi Cons -Smells like weed especially on weekends (but tbh most college apartments will) -Walls are thin inside apartment, you can hear roommates conversations very easily -Appliances are outdated -Good chance 1 out 2 elevators or washing machines will be out of order"
"TURN AROUND NOW! This is the worst place you could live in all of College Park, full stop. I have had every terrible experience possible while living here: my roof started sagging because of a leak in the ceiling, building management charged me to have my dishwasher *simply inspected* (the same dishwasher that wasn't working the day I moved in!), and on top of all that I was cursed out by one of the staff for riding my skateboard in the back parking lot then threatened with eviction when I told him he should not be speaking to one of his customers like that. None of this compares, though, to the mold I discovered inside my unit's air system which got both me and my girlfriend quite sick. The only redeeming part of this place is the incredibly sweet maintenance staff. Other than that, I'm very excited to say that I will not be living in this absolute hell hole this coming year. If you're looking for somewhere to live in College Park, find somewhere else!"
"WISH I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS. This is my 3rd bad review for this place bc they keep DELETING THEM. Kenneth Gibbs and the front office staff are SO IMMATURE and will charge any fee they possibly can just do take your money. This place has LAWSUITS written ALL OVER IT. The ONLY good thing about this place is the maintenance staff and I feel so bad they have to work under such TERRIBLE management. Please don’t live here unless you want roaches and bugs running through your apartment even after having the place professionally cleaned more times than I can count. MOLD IS EVERYWHERE. It’s honestly a health hazard. The maintenance staff does the best that they can with what they’re given but this place needs a MAJOR makeover and new management immediately. DO NOT LIVE HERE. It’s sad that the only affordable housing in College Park will be shut down because this place is literally falling apart."
"Live here if you want roaches and to be bothered by management. Kenneth Gibbs, the manager of the building, is one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with in my young life. My apartment was infested with roaches and my roommates and I were very clean people when we lived there. No food out, cleaning and vacuuming the floors often, etc., and management blamed the roach problem on us (even though many other units were experiencing the same issue.) Gibbs inspected the unit and claimed we were messy and then instructed us not to eat food in our bedrooms so "the roaches wouldn't go in there." Okay. If you're cool with a substandard living environment, it's a pretty decent place to live if you're a student in terms of hosting pre-games and parties. If you don't drink definitely don't live here, as the sounds of loud frat bros screaming off their balconies will keep you up night after night. After my lease expired, I left, and now that I live in a real apartment building that isn't a piece of garbage if I had to choose between going back to Towers and having nowhere to live, I'd save the 650$ per month and live in my car."
