"I enjoy living at The Laureate. It brings a warm and welcoming feeling. The amenities are amazing compare to other apartments. Despite the kitchen and living room area not being a spacious are I would prefer. The minimal space pushes me to utilize the spaces downstairs to entertain my guest away from my home. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. The residents so far so very kind. My daughter and myself do not plan on moving out of here anytime soon!"
"So the Locked elevators are a big flaw and inconvenience. Just had a baby via c-section, recovering and in pain, still had to walk down the hall and go to first floor lobby to let up my mother while husband was at work. This is for sure not a handicap friendly apartment. Not for anyone who will ever be temporarily disabled, because even your online deliveries cannot be brought up to you. This system is too restrictive, unsafe and not sustainable"
"I have been a resident of the Laureate since May. Nani was extremely helpful and understanding throughout the application and leasing process. I truly enjoyed working with her. The woman in the Management office are very approachable and have great customer service. I look forward to seeing them when I do leave my apartment. The community has great features and amenities. However, I am still looking for the theatre room. Unless it’s the space in the community room with a T.V. My daughter enjoys the pool. Great for relaxing and if you are like me and enjoy pool-side instead of the pool, the courtyard is amazing. The have hosted enjoyable networking events with food and wine vendors for residents and prospective residents which I’ve heard went well from other residents. The fire alarm is triggered frequently and has become a nuisance. I’m dreading when my newborn is born and have to bothered with that. Hopefully this is resolved before then. Trying to be understanding this is a new property and testing is probably still commencing. The laureate has also reported a safety issue. A homeless person had access to an apartment and went inside and stole a car. Which is concerning because you need a key fob to access the main doors and elevators. Overall, I give 4 stars. I will update as my experience changes. Good or bad. Noting ,I was a resident at the Daley prior to and was look forward to this building with high expectations. Update: Steve (Property Manager) we have not had good interactions. Therefore, you are aware I would not reach out to you for anything. Ever since I wrote this review I have received 2 complaints from the laureate. I have never in my 20 years of renting received a complaint about my behavior or apartment. I am not sure if this review has triggered some type of retaliation or not."
"Malik is a AMAZING individual who’ve assisted us in finding a wonderful 1st apartment that me and my husband can call home. He goes over and beyond to ensure our needs are met at the highest level and exceeds within customer/resident service. Always having a helpful attitude and genuine concern to make a positive and healthy community!"
"This is a beautiful community that is well maintained. Nani helped me immensely when I was trying to learn more about the community since I was moving from out of state and couldn't visit in person. The apartments are decently quiet. I can hear the bass from one neighbor through the walls but at least they adhere to quiet hours. Also to note, without carpeting in the units you have to hope your upstairs neighbor puts down some rugs. I can frequently hear my upstairs neighbor stomping and scraping furniture around. But again, most of the time it's quiet. Most people-at least around me-seem to adhere to the no smoking policy. The hallway has only been overwhelmingly weed smelling once so far that I've noticed. The package room could use some optimization but I understand that's part of the growing pains of a new community. I've been here for a month so far, and overall love it! It's a great community, the staff have been so helpful and friendly, and it's a wonderful location with easy access to the metro. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a place to live!"
