The Rittenhouse Apartments

"This building is trash. They are renovating over mold, water damage, and things that this building should be condemned by. Couldn’t post without any stars. Please save yourselves and live elsewhere. The property management donor care about the residents. When it rains the hallways flood. They have slapped mold/mildew paint over mold. I could go on and on. Screw the Rittenhouse."

"Since I started applying for Rittenhouse up to end there is only one person I can give good point of her that she know her profession very well and have good respect to her customers that is 'Juley'. The other partners also they are cooperative with us when it is necessary. Thanks again for all."

"We were very excited that we found a place to live close to downtown DC and its not so expensive like other apartments around the area. We went to the leasing office in February looking for a 2 bdr apt which wasn't available until April 1st. Me and my friends paid 125.00 for the apartment holding fee plus 50.00 per application for each of us, we were three applicants so 150.00 total for applications. We were told that we could take a look at the apartment the last week of March. We went there and the apartment was still occupied. I never heard from them again. March 31st I received a call from the manager Nigel saying that my apartment was ready to move the next day, we weren't ready to move because of what was happening with covid plus they never got in touch with us before that call. So we agreed that we move May 1st. Never heard from them again. I sent emails to Joshua and he never responded. We decided to go to the office to make sure everything was ready for us to move May 1st. The manager told us the apartment is not ready. Really? You call me a month ago telling me the apartment is ready for us to move so what is going on? Without explanations the manager said that they have another 2 bdr apt available. He gave us the keys to go see the apartment ourselves. We got in to the elevator and as soon as we got off the elevator we noticed how old and dirty the building is. The carpet is nasty there are old stains, roaches everywhere and the smell is horrible. The walls are dirty and the smell in the hallways is terrible no ventilation at all. We are glad they didn't give us the apartment because we could not leave in such a dirty terrible place. If you are going to lease here. Make sure they show you the apt and not only the lobby because the lobby looks nice but in the hallways upstairs is really really nasty."

"I have lived here for 4 years. This is the second management company since I moved in. This company is not as tenant friendly to me but I guess that comes with different personnel. As with any building with many residents there are issues but attempts to correct appear to be prompt. I will give them a little more time. This is an old building with issues but again, that is to be expected. Tenants have responsibilities too and should not expect management to do everything. I like it here."
