Reviews of Fairland Crossing Apartments
"Everyone stating that they would rate it zero stars but can't, are right. This is the first and only apartment that I can say, failed the assignment. What assignment? Taking care of their tenants. Reaons following: -Mice were a constant issue from day one until I had to kill them myself. I became paranoid, legitimately paranoid to the point where I couldn't be in the dark completely. I would take my phone out at night for the flashlight in case I woke up out of my sleep to use the restroom. I find mice disgusting and being close to them made my skin crawl so I didn't want to encounter them at all. The pest control, or what they call pest control, is abysmal. They come in, lay down some sticky traps, throw in some poison for them to nibble on and call it a day. Never really taking care of the issue I pointed out, several times over, that there is a hole or several holes that the mice are coming through. Instead I had to buy my own traps and hear them go off, making me dispose of dead mice. Sometimes I would catch four in one day. All coming from the same place, the washer, and later on from under the dishwasher and behind the fridge. Then came the final straw. I woke up to the scent of something dead and rotting, this is closer now to 7 months of me living here, and I had to bring out a dead mouse behind the washer and dryer area. Probably died from mouse bait. -The office. Don't call them, they don't answer and don't walk into the office, because they don't have answers. My car was towed from a spot where EVERYONE parks and they said we aren't supposed to park there all of a sudden. There are eight visitor spots and six resident spots, minus two for disabled parking. These are in front of the apartment and every other spot that's open is for another complex. Wasn't told my car was towed and had to pay over $250 to get my car back. All because they said they couldn't contact us...but they have our car's information in their system assigned to the apartment. -Area. There's a dog park but that's not where you'll find feces, right outside the door and they're there. There's a camera towards the back of the apartment but it must only be used for crime and not the disgusting habit of leaving the grass with dog feces and upsetting their neighbors. The garbage disposal area is nasty until it's time for it to be taken away, this is moreover on the tenants as they throw trash on the ground with an open and empty bin. -Maintenance is a thing I guess, still have a broken closet that they just don't have the parts for I'm assuming because it's been well over 10 months. Been told that they changed their team so they're better, but it's a no for me. They also enter your apartment withput prior notice because they have keys. This might be a MD thing but where I'm from, that's breaking in, even if you have keys. I've been walked in on while I got out the shower because they weren't answered at the door. Extremely improper and unprofessional which resulted in a scary time. Fairland Crossing if you're reading this, I don't care for any of your basic responses or any in general. There's nothing to talk about because there are no improvements. If you're a future resident or someone that's considering the place, find something else. I understand not everyone has a bad experience but the majority of the problems are the same and constant and I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I have had to go through."
"I have a lot of conversations with an agent name Sakeyma , and from day one she has been very helpful and being professional,,, she always responds to my emails and addresses my concerns,,, overall I am glad that they have someone like her that tenants can count on"
"I've had a less than favorable experience living at Fairland Crossing. The recurring issues with rats, roaches, and frequent management changes have been frustrating. A gas leak persisted for over three months before it was resolved, and I'm dealing with mold problems in my apartment. Management's lack of responsiveness and seeming indifference to residents' concerns make living here a challenging experience. Considering my experiences, I would caution potential renters to carefully weigh the pros and cons before choosing Fairland Crossing.Rent at your own risk . I believe they are paying ppl are offering incentives for good ratings. Just know the only decent part of this complex is the leasing office. I’ve been living here for 10 months now and d I still don’t have a gym card which is one of the amenities. Staff tells you whatever you want to hear to get you out of their face."
"If I could make 0 stars I would! Do NOT rent from this complex, their units have roaches and mice infestations and they do not move you they make you stay in the unit. Their front office staff and property manager is absolutely the worst! I have had roaches and mice infestation in my unit since july and they have not done anything about it. They say they’ll transfer you then make up excuses..theyve been telling me im on the pest control list since august and they never come. You have to call the county inspector out if you want anything done… but even with that all they want to offer is out of the lease with no penalty but all rent must be made current or they’ll charge you all the fees… so they want you to pay rent for a unit that’s inhabitable.. the property manager Latoya will make every excise possible. The infestation is in the fridge and they will not even come replace the fridge she just says “no we not replace the pest control will treat it.” This has been the most disgusting and disturbing experience and I have also spoken to at LEAST 6 other people in my building who say their unit is infested with roaches as well and there still is nothing getting done."
"I promise you that you can find a better apartment. They don’t do a pre-inspection so the apartment you get will have multiple issues like holes in the wall, paint chipping off the doors, mice, broken washing machines etc. upon move in. You’ll ask the office to fix all the issues that you found moving in and they’ll “send” it to their “maintenance team”. Their maintenance team is a joke, it takes multiple weeks for them to complete a single work order and that’s if you’re constantly badgering them, who knows how long it would take otherwise. The office NEVER answers the phone or returns any calls so the only way to communicate is to physically walk into the office and ask for your issues to be addressed. Of course it won’t be addressed in a timely fashion so you’ll have to come in multiple times over the course of multiple weeks before your issues are addressed. Pest control is a joke, they just throw down bait/traps that you could buy at Home Depot. They came over 3 times and still didn’t get rid of ALL the mice in the apartment. Also the fact that there were enough mice in the apartment to require 3 separate inspections from pest control shows how dirty this place is. I’m not the only one who’s had a bad experience, walk into the leasing office at any time and I bet you money that multiple people are in the office complaining about something wrong in their apartment. It’s like there’s an assembly line of poor quality in there. A leasing office shouldn’t constantly be backed up of complaining residents. My neighbor was hired as a maintenance worker for management and he’s told me that he constantly had to work overtime to fix up his apartment and the building in general because he didn’t even like the upkeep of the apartment. How do your own employees not like the living conditions their hired under? Do they not see an issue? In summary, this place is NOT WORTH the headache it causes. I PROMISE you that you can find a better apartment. This place doesn’t deserve to be listed anywhere."
