Chancery Apartments

"A great place to live if you're a cockroach. I've lived here for two and a half years now. Since then, my rent has gone up over $300, and I expect it will go up again in a few months - for context, I live in a 500 sq. ft. studio for $1405/month! I've been dealing with a roach problem for almost a year now, and since a few months ago, I've been living with mice! Because of this, I can't sleep, I'm not comfortable eating in my own apartment because I might leave crumbs (god forbid), and I can't have any visitors because it's so embarrassing. Plus, they have complete control to turn off the A/C when it gets cold, leading to periods (like right now) where it gets hot outside, and they lag behind in turning the A/C back on."

"If there was an option for a zero star, I’d give it to the chancery. The building is old and smells horrible, if you visit you will be surprised by the smell the moment you enter the hallways. Neighbors are noisy. management is so unresponsive and rude. Front desk staff are sooo unhelpful and rude. If I were to list the times I’ve been disappointed by the chancery I would need a long essay. I moved out as soon as I could. Stay Away if you like to live comfortably and with your piece of mind."

"Shout out to the maintenance team for the quick repairs. I requested a specific fix and they had a resolve within two days and it was completed within a week. I appreciate the continued communication throughout. Also, I hear great things about our new manager... hoping all goes well!"

"They don't hire African Americans. I have been here 18 years, 90% family and friends. I love them all but that is just a fact. That is not very nice. It is called nepotism. They do work hard and keep this building immaculate. Excellent for little children."

"The staff works very hard. You can't please everyone; some people never. It is a clean bldg. Could be more diverse staff wise. They take great pride in the building. Tenants ...smoke in front and back. Respectively won't say names. I have been there a while. That part is tacky but that 's the tenants. (few of them). Who knows...I used to smoke, they might quit one day too. But wish they would move away from our wonderful , beautiful building."
