Reviews
"This review is specifically in regards to the lab services at this location. Unfortunately the providers are some of the most unwelcoming pediatric medical employees I’ve interacted with. It might be routine for them to do bloodwork on a 1yo but for most people it is not routine for them or their child. At each visit I have requested that I be able to do something to distract her during the blood work and they have rejected my requests every time. I’m sorry but that just seems uncaring in my opinion when you’re dealing with a toddler who is clearly terrified."
"The care is great, but the amount of time that I have wasted waiting at this place is absolutely insane. I’m not talking twenty minutes, I’m talking an hour & a half even when I have an appointment. I understand that cold & flu season is upon us & that they are slammed, & I honestly don’t mind waiting, but an hour & a half is crazy. Anytime that I decide to bring my kids here I have to make sure that I bring food & entertainment because my kids lose their minds waiting. I wish that they would figure this out it really is so frustrating."
"In order to test my sick child for strep/covid, I made an appointment online at this facility the previous day but still had to wait after patient check-in, which was to be expected given the volume of patients on a Sunday during cold/flu season. They also give you the option to stay in the car and be contacted via a text message instead of staying in the waiting area. We didn't wait very long though, and my son was examined by the doctor and after the initial examination, the nurses proceeded with the rapid strep and covid/flu test. The nurses were friendly and made my son feel at ease during these tests. We waited in the exam room for about 20 minutes and the test results were also emailed through the UPMC patient portal. It took us an hour and 15 minutes on a Sunday for our entire visit including the wait time for the test results. Overall, my most recent experience at this express care facility was positive."
"I have been here more times than I would like to with two toddlers for many ear infections, pink eye, sinus infections and more…. All I can say is we have had the most outstanding experience every time we are here. From the check in staff, to the nurses, to the doctors - everyone is absolutely wonderful. The kindest nurses and doctors around who are truly beyond qualified to work with children. I do not have enough nice things to say!"
"I will never bring my child here again. My infant had a fever off and on for three days and had started tugging on her ear. From the moment the provider (I wish I could remember her name, she said she usually works in the ER) walked in she was extremely rude and condescending. The first thing she said was "so why do YOU think she has an ear infection?" While trying to explain my reasons, she kept cutting me off and asking about other symptoms. She has absolutely no bedside manner and doesn't seem to even like children, as evidenced by her unpleasant tone. After evaluation she determined that my child did not have an ear infection, but rather a respiratory virus that was causing the fever. She then suggested we use saline and a bulb for suction. When she asked if I had one I said "yes I keep a little one in the diaper bag" She told me to use it on her and when I did she said "NO you need to be aggressive" and grabbed it out of my hand and shoved it up my daughters nose then said "this isn't a good one" and threw it on the table. She talked to us like we were stupid the entire visit and made us feel like we shouldn't have been concerned."
