Reviews of Total Wine & More
"Absolutely terrible customer services, while the regular employees are great, the managers were completely rude and were not helpful whatsoever. Just overall rude treatment. Would not go here again until management is either retrained or replaced."
"ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would give zero stars if I could. I went into the store and walked to the Customer Service counter. The woman was on her cell phone. I stood for a minute or two, thinking she might be doing something for the store. However, after another minute, she still hadn't acknowledged me even after looking up, so I finally had to say hello to get her attention. I asked her if they sold a specific bottle of wine. Instead of looking it up on one of the three computers at the customer service counter, she motioned me to go to the other side of the store to have another employee look it up on their phone. The gentleman looked annoyed when I walked over and explained what I needed and that she told me to come over here. He looked it up and then just turned and started walking. I waited a second, then decided that I guess I'm supposed to follow him. He walked to the selection, and I asked if there was enough for a case because I was looking for a case discount. The wine was on the bottom shelf. He crouched down to look. He called another employee to check if the price could be used for a case discount. Then, he told me to get a cart and a box, or the cashier would find a box. I figured I get the cart, and he'd help me put together the case of wine in a box. He did not. He walked away, and I was left to crawl on the floor to reach and get all of the bottles. Finally, I brought the cart with the 12 bottles to the cashier. I pushed the cart through and put one bottle on the checkout belt. I told her the bottles are all the same. She replied, "You're going to have to put all of the bottles on the counter. " I'm sorry, what? Why do I need to do that? She could have clearly looked at all of the bottles or put them up there herself. In Costco, they tell you to leave items in the cart. It's not like there was a line of other customers. Already annoyed with everything, I started reaching over the cart in the tiny aisle, but I couldn't reach all of them. I finally said to her that I couldn't reach it, and if she could just take them out. She rolled her eyes and started getting the bottles at a snail's pace. I made the mistake of making some comment about customer service, and she then proceeded to go on and on about why I won't tell her what happened and why I won't tell her what I needed. I told her, I just need to buy the 12 bottles and get the case discount. She kept talking and asked me again to the point I was biting my lip because I just wanted to get out of there. All around, there was zero customer service and help from beginning to end. It was an AWFUL experience for something that should have been easy. Total Wine, please train your employees on how to provide a better customer experience."
"If I could rate this store 0 stars I would. On thanksgiving this year my Native American family was racially discriminated against by nick gloria who is the assistant manager and melanie who was the cashier. My brown aunt came in with her half white son who is 14 and was refused service because they couldn't believe her son is half white. Also her son doesn't have an id. He's 14 and most 14 year olds don't have id's, they usually wait until 15 when they get a learns permit. He also has his dads last name like most children in America do. Her and her sons dad aren't together so she doesn't share the same last name as her son. An id would have been useless. Either way on the total wine website they state if someone over 30 is with their child they do not have to id the child. My aunt gave her id to the employees and she's well over 30 years old. Why did they still refuse her service when in their own policies she really didn't do anything wrong. When I found out about this I went to the store myself and asked nick gloria if he could tell me why they were refused but others weren't when they brought their kids in. He kept saying it was a judgement call and I asked him to expand on how he came to that judgement and he simply could not answer me. I asked over and over again and nick would just stare at me with an evil look in his eyes and say nothing. So when I said that's a form of racism, nick got very mad at me and told me to leave the store immediately and kept saying he isn't racist. But if you discriminated against a brown mother and her half white child because the child isn't the same skin color(mind you they have the same facial features, just not the same skin color). Then it's most definitely racial discrimination(which is racism). I took a video of the whole incident of me asking nick gloria if he could tell me how he came to that judgement and asked for his higher ups numbers so I could report what happened. Ultimately he refused to give me the contact info and called the cops on me because I didn't want to leave without proper contacts to report the racism me and my family dealt with. Again a Native American family was racially discriminated against on thanksgiving at that. Shame on nick gloria and melanie for being racist and dismissing me when I asked for information. I will be contacting corporate either way. I hope you can hold them accountable and not let people that are racist work at your stores.I tried to attach the video but it’s not letting me, maybe because the video is a few minutes long I’m not to sure but I will gladly show any employee of total wine my video if they ask."
"Usually located in the suburbs, Total Wine & More is paradise for anyone who enjoys alcohol. Housed in large buildings, the inside is filled with aisle after aisle of wine from around the country and world, craft beer and hard cider, and other gems. Also, the prices are usually more affordable!"
"Very clean and well organized place. Also the employees are so friendly, nice, and professional. I was asked if I needed any help by 4 employees in less than 30 minutes, such an amazing experience in a small store. I found a very big collection of non Alcholic drinks that I didn't see in any other store. Difenately recommended this store to anybody who looks for great products and great customer service."
