"Awful benefits company. No communication. They don't execute on anything. I work for an insurance carrier and their eligibility files are a mess. We have issue after issue after issue and meeting after meeting and nothing gets resolved. It's been since 2021 and nothing is going smoothly. If you're looking for a benefits vendor, you should look elsewhere and stay away from this nightmare. I'd give negative stars if it was possible."
"This company is absolutely a nightmare to communicate and work with. Had my benefits switched over to this company….took my son to the dentist for them to tell me he’s not on my policy even though his name is listed under family on my card. They are telling me they do not have a SSN for my family and want me to email all their ssn through email…..which is the absolute easiest way to get your identity stolen. When I asked can I just tell you then over the phone they said no…. I can email or mail…..never have I ever worked with a company where you can’t just provide a number over the phone…..why would they put their customers at risk like that. No one from their office returns calls or answers their phones. What a nightmare"
"Dealing with Kelly Benefits is insufferable and should be avoided at all costs. I have been trying to cancel my benefits for OVER a year now and have been ignored / bounced around from department to department. This has prevented me from using my current heath insurance to fill my critical daily medications. The best that customer service operator can tell me is to “try sending another email.” Do NOT use Kelly."
"Truly terrible experience working with this business. My employer hired them to manage our employee health insurance plans. When I got married, I asked to be removed from my company's health insurance plan -- because I was switching to my husband's plan. LSS: Kelly's team requested multiple different documents at different times as "proof" that I could be dropped from my current plan. After providing three different forms of "proof" (marriage license, new insurance card, and a letter from my new insurance confirming that I'd been added to the plan) -- they told HR it was "too late to drop me from the plan". Not only that - but that information never got communicated to me, so instead of my plan ending in June 2022 -- my plan actually ended in Nov 2022 -- and it ONLY ended because our company was acquired by a larger group. So Kelly was completely USELESS in this regard. Of course, my employer is also to blame for not prioritizing this item on my behalf/communicating with me/etc., but Kelly Benefits was clearly dropping the ball with the multiple back and forth messages. So annoying...because now I'm stuck coordinating between my old insurance and new insurance to make sure any appointments that occurred during this window are submitted correctly (and I found out I was pregnant in August, so...whoopie!)."
"I feel sorry for you if your company chooses to work with this company. They are so unclear with communication and unorganized. My previous employer used them for COBRA benefits and it took me over 2 months to get everything sorted, as they lost my initial check to start COBRA insurance. Which I would have never found out if I hadn't called them! There is a time limit to sign up for COBRA, I would have lost out on insurance. Canceling with them was another similar unclear processes, I even prepared myself emailed and called to make sure I was doing thing correctly, but received different answers each time. If you can, let your employer know that this company is extremely hard to work with and do go elsewhere!"
