"Have never experienced an issue. Prompt and informative when needed."
"Always appreciated their help."
"I am deeply saddened to have to write this review. During the past 2+ years as customer/client I have gone from being disappointed, to baffled, to angry. In my experience, their sales and marketing side of the company runs like a well-oiled machine while the post-sales operational side of their business is completely dysfunctional. They market themselves as a one stop shop firm that is able integrate financial management with tax planning and estate planning and so forth. We came to them for financial management assistance but even more so as a single point of contact for my family when the time comes to settle my affairs. Having attended several of their in-person seminars I was looking forward to being able to enthusiastically recommend them to friends and family. Unfortunately, the exact opposite has been the case. Rarely do I get a response when I reach to them and most of the time I must reach out to them a second time to get any kind of acknowledgement. They seem to be in disarray. When they ask for information and I provide it they reach out again saying that they did not receive it until I give them the date/time I sent it. For a relatively small firm they seem to be very bureaucratic and unable to provide a decent customer experience. They try to use technology to manage customers, if you like to be an entry in a Constant Contact database then maybe you will be happy here, even if they miscategorize you and keep sending you automated irrelevant emails. I must use a Constant Contact form to schedule a meeting with them, and then wait several weeks for the meeting to occur. They ask for and I provide, in advance, topics to be discussed in the meeting but they come to the meeting as if they have not read it. They are very good about requesting their clients vote them the best of whatever and encourage clients to vote once per day. I don’t know if the employees are being coerced to do the same or not. Their webinars promote what services a good financial management firm should provide and they themselves fall short across the board. I have given them ample opportunities demonstrate competence and, being a relatively small client, I have been patient and come to not expect much. I really wanted them to become a good organization. However, they have now crossed the line with their misbilling and apparent inability or unwillingness to correct in a timely manner. Their fiduciary responsibilities seem to end where the billing and automatic deduction of their fees begin. This is not a firm that I can recommend you give access to your bank or investment accounts. If you like to get a pretty magazine and static statement one a quarter, and don’t mind the statements and billing to be incorrect, then this may be the place for you. If you like to work with a firm that seems to be all about them, then have at it. I have worked with larger financial management firms and have found them to be more competent and responsive, more interested in my money than their own, and much more informed and engaged. Maybe my experience is not representative, or maybe I just don’t fit into their cookie cutter approach. Anyway, they do have some good webinars that they provide on a regular basis that I would recommend. Enjoy."
"**We are impressed with BWFA.** After reading Consumer's Checkbook, we interviewed six highly rated financial firms. BWFA was the only one that made us feel like we belonged and that they would work with us to meet our individual needs. We started by working with BWFA to create a financial plan. We were then very pleased with their guidance through the current state of the markets. In addition to their expert financial management, the staff are always pleasant and eager to answer our questions. BWFA also offers a variety of educational resources, including live webinars on all topics related to finances for all ages, as well as health, cooking, and book groups. They also have a podcast that is short and to the point on relevant topics. We are very pleased with our decision to hire BWFA. They are a valuable asset to our financial well-being. Here are some additional details about BWFA that we found to be impressive: * They are a fee-only financial advisory firm, which means that they are paid a flat fee for their services, rather than receiving commissions from the products they sell. This ensures that they are always acting in the best interests of their clients. * They have a long history of providing excellent service to their clients. They have been in business for over 30 years and have a team of experienced financial professionals who are dedicated to helping their clients achieve their financial goals. * They offer a wide range of financial services, including investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax planning. This allows them to provide a comprehensive financial solution for their clients. * They are committed to providing their clients with the highest level of service. They offer a variety of resources to help their clients learn about personal finance, including webinars, educational materials, and a podcast. Overall, we were very impressed with BWFA. They are a reputable financial advisory firm that offers a wide range of services and is committed to providing their clients with the highest level of service. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a financial advisor."
"We did our taxes with BWFA for multiple years. Recently, they announced they are only doing taxes for customers enrolled in their financial planning services. I have had multiple condescending interactions with at least two BWFA staff as a result. We have decided to receive tax services and financial advice elsewhere."
