"I had no clue this Urgent Care was here, but when I got sick I was so glad I found out about it. The location of it is great and has been much needed! The receptionist and nurses were so friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel welcomed. The Doctor I seen was amazing! He took his time, never made me feel rushed, and put my mind at ease over my concerns about Covid. (Which I didn't have, it was the flu.) "Hello, I am WVU Wheeling Hospital's Urgent Care's Medical Director. I am posting this because after more than 10 attempts, we have been unable to get Google to change our hours on their search engine. In April, we changed our hours to 8am-8pm. We did this to accommodate people who need to get to work by 9am or 10am. We also perform non-urgent services, such as school and sports physicals and outpatient labs (you need a prescription) from 8am-7:00pm. For patients with urgent complaints, we have on-site x-ray and a few rapid labs, such as flu, urine analysis and strep but most labs need to be ordered at follow-up by the patient's primary physician, if needed. We do not have an ultrasound, CT scanner or MRI so people who have possible blood clots, appendicitis, gall bladder disease or pregnancy complications are immediately sent to the emergency department. We are looking forward to providing care to you and your family."
