"The overlook is quite wonderful when it came to the apartments we stayed for a 12 month lease and really loved the apartment layout. However they quite frequently (often twice a month) do checks that require you to lock up your pets which can be complicated if you work. It was often unsettling knowing that they come into your apartment and having to worry about your pets getting let out. Robert was absolutely amazing and often understanding when problems came up. Jennifer was not exactly helpful when it came to the move out process it was very hard to get into contact when returning our keys and had a minimal attitude. The pet restriction is absolutely impossible I recommended a couple of friends who were unable to lease due to breed restrictions. Neighbors were 50/50 some left notes on our door complaining about things (such as trash smells) which we don’t have control over as we were not the ones at fault. We also had a lot of problems when the complex would smell like weed as the property management had to leave MORE notes stating they would be doing house checks frequently (this may have changed as we moved out a few weeks later) Overall a great place for looks wise but must have a lot of patience and time to accommodate to their needs and services. Much like a very strict HOA but for apartment complex"
"The Overlook at Riverside Apartments are fairly nicely priced, the rentals are a good size, the staff is friendly and apparently helpful, and the amenities appear great, but the problems come when you notice that the walkthrough shows only the surface of the technically 5ft deep pool... like the Reck room is a nice place to relax with a pool table and really cool coffee machine, that is only open when the office is open and closed on the weekends The Pool is nice on a hot day and they even have a lady to check people's pool passes, I mean if they send someone out, unless it rains or looks like it rains then the pool is closed for the day As far as I know the Car Wash and Dog Spa are open regularly, tho they did decide that dogs are only allowed to Go in the fenced in dog area, because that's obviously what is killing the grass in the middle of summer So what I'm saying is that the Overlook at Riverside Apartments Looks like a nice place for people with A lot Of Patience, and possibly some sort of thing for being treated like a child"
"The people who run this apartment do not care about you after you sign the lease. So they don’t trust the residents so they hired someone to monitor the pool and you cannot get in with out a pass. And I don’t understand why because when she is their she’s smoking behind the building or swimming in the pool, so she doesn’t do anything really but stop us from going to the pool. They cut back the pool hours to only 4-8 on week days, when she actually comes because if it rains in the morning she won’t come for the whole day. So people got mad about the cut back hours so they are just closing it. On September 4th!!!!! The only pool that’s closing BEFORE summer ends. And they harass you about having out of state tags even if your military. It’s almost like you never know what you are going to come home to with how crazy they are with rules. Look somewhere else so you can live in peace."
"The apartment is fine, however you pay for amenities you don’t get to use. The pool hours went to 4pm-8pm during the week WHEN she shows up. It’s basically like living with a harsh HOA but for an apartment. They say they are pet friendly but then send out letters saying watch where your dog pees because they say it’s killing the grass… in the summer…. Also they show you a great clubhouse that you can only use during the office hours, so 8-5 week days and closed on weekends, so give up hope ever seeing it again after you get the apartment. Even though all the renters are upset we don’t get to use the things we pay for, they don’t care and ignore your emails. You are better off trying somewhere else where there may be a chance you can use the things you pay for."
"I’ve been living here for a little over two months. Very nice property, management is friendly, and incredible apartments. The tile backsplashes are a great touch and each apartment has a patio/balcony. I have a 1BR and the place feels very spacious. My cat loves it, too. She loves all the natural light that comes in when the blinds are open and loves sitting in the big living room window. She also loves exploring the numerous cabinets and storage spaces."
