Reviews of Lee Trace Apartments
"I have enjoyed my stay here. The property is kept very well and the maintenance is timely. Maintenance guy is very kind. Personnel in the office changes a lot, but the treatment is good. I have been here for two years."
"I recently relocated to Martinsburg temporarily and placed an application to Lee Trace. It is scary choosing a place when you only have online photos and are not familiar with the area. We took a chance and so glad we did! The process from move in to move out was wonderful. The complex landscaping is just like the online pictures. Pool is very well maintained. Our 3 bedroom 2 bath was spacious and also as pictured online. We had room for all of our furniture and plenty of storage. If I had a maintenance request, it was ALWAYS handled within 24 hours and sometime same day. The maintenance team is top tier. We had a cat and it's so hard to find places that accepts pets AND is nice or affordable. If you are in that situation, Lee Trace is accepting to pets as tenants. I read through the negative reviews just now and that was not my experience at Lee Trace. It feels extremely safe at this complex and I not aware of any theft or crime at this unit. I had no fear of walking to dumpster at night and none of my $1000 Amazon packages were missing! The leasing agent was professional and responsive to all our needs. The rent in Martinsburg was higher than I expected but that is the area, not specific to Lee Trace. I can say my utility bill was very low monthly. Living on a second floor unit may have helped with heating and cooling but also the windows are in great order in the apartments. If I was staying in Martinsburg a longer time I would have stayed with Lee Trace. If you are in a situation as I was and could only choose apartments from afar, I having nothing but good things to say about this complex and definitely recommend."
"Lee Trace Apartments seems like a gem of a place to live. The location and quality of the grounds are ideal. Next to the highway, an exit away form hospital and Walmart. Lived there for 7 yrs. Stories of embezzlement, intimidating employees, questionable neighbors. Be aware, not everything there is bad, but it has gone downhill steadily. There are some excellent people who live there, but they are letting a worse element in of recent yrs. We were given no option to renew lease after 7 yrs and mid-pandemic. might alter review if they apologize for troubles they have caused or never rectified. Cars broken into, dangerous people, speeding cars in lot, etc, etc..."
"I would rate Lee Trace Apartments a zero if able to do so. My family lived in the complex for 7 years until we were pushed out the door as a retaliatory effect. Unfortunately, the area worsened and some neighborhood kids threatened my child with a knife (luckily it was fake, but it's the principle of the matter). We did what any caring parents would do and reported it to the property manager. Approximately two weeks later, we received a non-renewal lease letter attached to the apartment door. Shady to do something like this to a family during unprecedented times and this action is very much foul play. Also, there was mold growing in my dishwasher and the main bathroom was inoperable. This was NEVER rectified! I suppose they were looking to push us out the door and then replace the dishwasher to hike up the rent for other new tenants to come in. Very BAD business practice! Ultimately, we are happy to be out of there and in a much better environment. And to boot, we were accused of creating holes in our walls in which we received a bill for over $1000.00. My husband did take a video of the apartment before we permanently left. I never had the time to file a lawsuit, but I wish that I did considering the circumstances and the astronomical bill from Lee Trace that damaged my credit. I hope one day they reap what they sow."
"Lived at Lee Trace for 2 years. All my interactions with the staff have been phenomenal. They're always kind, welcoming and capable. These are probably the best apartments in Martinsburg. Great location, right off of I-81. Knocked down from 5 stars because they are a little pricey and the corporation that runs the facility is blatantly profit-hungry."
