Silky Smooth Dance Studio, located at 204 Mill Street in the Occoquan Historic District of Virginia, is a premier dance institution founded by owner Sandra Mason in April of 2007. Our studio aims to provide residents of Northern Virginia and aspiring dancers with group classes that focus on developing essential movement skills to enhance their social dancing abilities.
At Silky Smooth Dance Studio, we understand the diverse dance programs available in the Metro area, which is why we have tailored our program to cater to students of all levels, including beginners. Our specialty lies in Hand Dance workshops, offering classes from basic to intermediate levels, with dynamic assistance to help students build the physical and mental confidence necessary to excel in dancing.

"Great place for hand dancing 1st and 3rd Fridays"
"Myself and four of my coworkers were scheduled to take the Chicago Steppin class this past Saturday, 27 April from 1100 to 1200 at the Veterans Memorial Park, Woodbridge, VA. Upon arrival we learned that all classes had been canceled, because of a Community wide event. No one from Silky Smooth Dance Studio called to inform us. Three of my coworkers were from out of the local area (Maryland, Stafford, and Chantilly). The Veteran Memorial Park employee's informed us that Silky Smooth Dance Studio is an independent business and only rents the room; however, they would definitely let them know. This is extremely unprofessional and a huge disappointment as we were celebrating a birthday."

"I have passed Silky Smooth for seven years going and coming up and down route 1 in Virginia, Just learned this pass April what type of business it was. I finally got to check it out this pass Friday night!!!! What a great place. A mature crowd, beautiful music, people were very warm and friendly. Went back Tuesday evening for dance lessons. I love the atmosphere, the location (its more visible from the road since the new construction for Route 1) and there is plenty of parking. This is great clean fun for the mature adult."
