Reviews of Calvary Chapel Christian School
"We have absolutely have an incredible experience sending our daughter to this school. We also are looking forward to sending our son there whenever he reaches Kindergarten age. Sending our daughter to a school where Jesus is spoken of and worshiped within the building, TRUTH is being spoken to these children (which is hard to come by in this world today), and I would also add they are getting a quality education. We love that the kids are memorizing Scripture. We love the various activities that are thought out by the staff. We're planning on sending our children here until they graduate high school. We couldn't be more pleased. Our daughter had an amazing first grade teacher, and we're looking forward to second grade! We felt our daughter was very well loved while in the building, and multiple times within the year my wife and I would say that this was the best money we spent all year."
"First, I am saddened to have to leave this kind of review. I am writing an honest review because I was once the one reading them. I ended up enrolling my kids and I had strong positive hopes for this school. I was pleased here for almost 2 full school years before I was insensitively asked to take my kids and leave just before this school year ended. I'm sure if you don't have an opinion on your child's education then your children will thrive here. I was paid for the whole year and when asked to leave they kept my full tuition. We we're not asked to leave over payment or behavioral issues with my kids and infact the day my son was the VIP Class Student for the day was the same day they kicked us out. To add insult, a faculty member with a very significant role with all students lied ( RIGHT in front of us) to my crying sons face about the reason for his removal from school. I can say this isn't the worst school but this particular one has shown me the biblical meaning behind wolves dressed in sheep clothing and therefore I suggest another church school before this one until those wolves have found employment elsewhere."
"I had high hopes for this school and was looking forward to sending my son, however when I went to the school to meet the principle I was unsure if I was making the right decision but after talking with my husband we decided to give it a try despite my gut feeling. One of the first issues started about a week after my son started school at The Calvary Chapel, he is a smaller child so he still sits in a car seat and has difficulties pushing the button in and unbuckling his seat belt. When I would pull up to the school I would jump out of my van to help my son unbuckle his seat belt and give him a kiss goodbye, when i did this the principle Mrs. Cannon with a cold tone and expression told me not to get out of my vehicle when i tried to explain why she proceeded to tell me to get back into my van i was holding up the line. The next morning i woke up to an email from the school stating that parents are to not get our of their vehicle for any reason during school drop off, so now he has to sit in his seat with no seatbelt because i can't get out of my van to help him out. After about 2 months of my son going to Calvary Chapel he started complaining about other students pushing him down, getting in his face and screaming etc, the school had also called me a few times about him crying in class. One day I was waiting to pick my son up and i could see in the lobby where the kids were waiting to come out and i saw another little boy hitting my son in the face with his book-bag strap. My son starting crying and told the teacher she grabbed him by the arm and pushed him out to me. When I told the principle about this she just said you clearly aren't happy why don't you go find another school. My son isn't the problem he is crying in school because he got hit in the face and other kids are pushing him down, so punish the child that is getting picked on and bullied. The teachers ( at least the ones i have dealt with ) have no control over the classroom and its obvious. As i would stand at the school during pickup i would hear the teacher speaking with other parents and witness behavior of the other children . My son picked up so many bad behaviors that he never had before my parents even made the comment what are they teaching him at this school he never did this before. My son used to love going to school and now he doesn't even want to go. I can't believe I paid all this money just for them to make my son not like school, and now i have to undo the damage they have done. Huge waste of time and money. Beware of The Principle she is not what she appears, if anyone ever has issues you will find out fast what I'm talking about."
