Reviews
"Pooch Styles is amazing. The service, the facility and the outcome is remarkable. My dog has anxiety and they treat him so well. Blaze come in looking homeless and leave looking rich. I love this place. The best groomer in the DMV. Thank you Kyonna"
"Don't know the Groomer do it, But my baby Juicy always come home looking sweet. I definitely recommend."
"I feel the worst experience. They had my animals for almost 8 hours. They were dropped off at 10 am, and they were not finished until 4 pm. Very unprofessional. People stop supporting them because they are around they corner. They need to be shut down. My animals act differently like they drug them or something when I picked them up and they add more money for everything and don't tell you the price until you pick your animals up hidden cost why.i will never take my animals back stop supporting them people and they are rude and nasty attitudes very unprofessional like you need them I'd rather keep going to peco and they are cheaper. And you get discounts"
"Ms. KEYONNA - The master stylist and Groomer is sooooo good with the fur babies as it pertains to the grooming and care as well as the styling. I have been with her for almost 10 ears and she just really cares greatly for these fur babies and her work displays it."
"TL;DR: They injured my puppy, left her with a bleeding wound, and didn't even bother letting me know. The beginning of the 11/18/18 grooming appointment for my 8 month old Lhasapoo puppy started off with the male employee asking me if my dog drinks out of a water bowl, which I honestly thought was a silly question, but I digress. He mentioned that the tops of her ears were matted and it would cost $1 per minute to comb out. The female employee told me my puppy did indeed have a small amount of matting at the base of her ears, nothing serious, and it would cost $10 tops. I expressed that I only wanted her to be trimmed since the weather was cold, and that I was most concerned with getting her hair out of her eyes. Lhasapoos/Lhasa Apsos are meant to have longer hair; I prefer my dog fluffy and got her cut short during the summer only to keep her cool. After I got the call that my puppy was ready, I quickly returned, waited ~15 min until my puppy finally ran out with her hair cut very low. This was not the trim I asked for. Making it worse, her ears were completely shaven. I asked the female groomer if it was necessary to do her ears like this, and she told me "It's better to have a fresh start." I was not pleased at all but at this point there was nothing I could do to reverse the bad haircut, so I paid the $77 owed, took my pup and left. I wish that's where the story ended. After I got home, I was playing with her and noticed that she flinched in pain when I touched her. I looked her over and that's when I saw it: 2+ inches of raw, bleeding skin. They cut my baby and did not even have the decency to inform me. I was furious. I called Pooch Styles and left a message to call me back immediately. When I got the owner, Kyonna, on the phone the next day, she explained that she was not there to witness what happened but that the groomer said she did not see any injuries on my dog and did not realize that she had been cut. I told Kyonna I would email her pics (and I did). There's NO WAY both of the workers did not see that huge patch of missing hair and bloody flesh. All I asked for was a refund, as I did not pay $77 for my baby to be harmed. I was not asking for money for a vet bill or anything. Kyonna said that I would have to bring my dog back to Pooch Styles to be inspected and taken to her own vet. Why would I inconvenience myself any further, especially when I'm sending you pictures?? What else do you need to see? I trusted your business to do right by me and my puppy and that trust was broken, why would I trust you again?? She said that's her policy--well what's the policy when it comes to hurting someone's pet? Do you always not inform the owner? We ended the phone call with her sarcastically telling me to have a happy thanksgiving. That's the level of professionalism you should expect from this establishment. She also said she would respond to any reviews regarding this incident so HI KYONNA. You've already shown your behind, so I'm not sure what else you can say. I wish I would've went with my first instinct when I was dropping my pup off, said "nevermind" and taken my baby home. Do yourself and your fur baby a favor and find another groomer. My reply to her reply: 1) The water bowl question is still baffling as I've never seen a dog that does not drink out of water bowl. 2) The guy told me $1 per minute, period, nothing about after 10 min. Yes, her last grooming visit was August 26th and I've already stated my preferences for her hair so there's that. 3) The groomer said there was only a small bit of matting at the base of her ear, I even felt the small spots that they pointed out. The rest of the ear was fine. But they needed to shave the bottoms of the ears too? Okay girl. 4) I have pictures that show her hair is the exact same length or shorter than it was the last time she visited in the summer. 5) Her body was not matted and if she was, why didn't they call and inform me? They said nothing. I sent pics AFTER we spoke on the phone and you know that is NOT "irritation"--she got cut. 6) Yeah sure."
