"Not sure why so many bad reviews.. I stayed there for 7 nights, and had no problem what so ever with anything. Great location and just a pleasure being there! If i`m ever going to Washington again i know where to stay easily! Thanks for my stay."

"Worst place I’ve ever stayed. Fire alarms. Hot and cold temp— temp control wasn’t working. elevators didn’t work and got stuck between floors. No working hot water. Light bulbs all out. The only one saving grace is the location. But I will never stay here again."

"My stay at the Sonder was extremely bad. If they want to have an unstaffed hotel, they should take care that things run smoothly! Bur that is not the case with the Sonder hotel in Washington: The key to enter the hotel and the room failed almost every time I used it. One afternoon I had to wait 40 minutes for a new one! The TV greeted me with a gloomy picture, like a painting. The remote control did not work and the TV was wall mounted (it was impossible to unplug it). I slept 2 nights with the TV on. The bathroom exhaust fan made an infernal noise, it took more than 24 hours to fix it (and as it turned on together with the light, all that time I was without light in the bathroom). Also, when trying to fix it, they broke the towel hanger and left them lying around. In short... a series of bad moments, one after the other. Definitely a place I will not return to and do not recommend going to."

"Not sure why it has so many bad reviews. I don’t think people read their website or other reviews before staying in a Sonder location. This is my second time staying at a Sonder location and it’s great for the price you pay. First time in London during their winter season. The only bad thing I find with these locations is the whole AC situation which is controlled by the hotel itself. ** I would never stay at a Sonder location during summer months because of this** This location is close to all the monuments and it’s around good restaurants. The room I got on the 10th floor- 1006 was spacious. The room is equipped with a full kitchen, separate bathroom and hanging space for your clothes. Not sure if all the other rooms are like this. There’s a Wawa around the corner and a parking garage. There’s a rest next door and a bar with karaoke on the bottom floor. As soon as we got in, the heater was on full blast because it’s considered winter in DC. We turned it off and opened the windows. The windows only open a little bit but it was the enough to keep the room chilly. The beds was hard but we don’t mind as we have back problems and a sturdy bed helps us. Everything was clean and I didn’t have any complaints about the noise. While others complain about not having staff available, there is someone there until 7ish ? I want to say or 9pm that could help you. Check in process is easy and I like that you get a code and come and go as you please. All through the app. At both locations that I’ve stayed at there is someone there to help you throughout the day. You get what you pay for. A clean spacious space to lay your head and explore DC."

"I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Rundown and dirty rooms. The table and floor in the room had spilled juice all over. The sheets were stained. The shower was so gross and the water would NOT get warm. The glasses were all dirty with mouth stains. The dishwasher was full of standing water. And to add to it all it was so noisy. Every single night at 3am a loud banging would wake us up from the room above. The hotel has no front desk or staff available. Everything is accessible from a code they email you. The only plus side was the location I guess…I feel bad but I do not have any great things to say about this place."
