Holiday Inn Express & Suites Manassas, an IHG Hotel

"We came up to visit family and they looked around for a place for us to stay. This is the place they chose. We have been very happy withe this place! It is very clean. The beds are comfortable and you are given soft and firm pillows. The water pressure in the shower was a little low. The breakfast was good, everything from omelets, pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy to pastries and cereal. There is an indoor pool , that looked nice. We would definitely stay here again!"

"The Staff (Desk and Kitchen) were really wonderful. Always smiling, cheerful, and ready to help! Love the "pancake machine" too. One suggestion, we had a room with a King Best. The door to the sleeping area needs a blind of some sort. That way 1 occupant can be up and not disturb the other."

"Very friendly welcome at the reception and no problem at check-in. Had a good and quiet room with a little more interesting room layout compared to most other Holiday Inn Express Hotels :). The room itself was pretty clean and every thing was where it belonged. No complaints and can recommend this place highly."

"We have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the past 10 years, but this will be our last visit there. It has been in steady decline over the past few years, with this being the worst visit yet. When we park at the side of the building, there was a strong urine smell when we got out of the car. I am unaware of whether or not there is homeless in the area, but it smelled as though they were homeless people in the trees behind the hotel. The young man who checked us in was exceptionally nice and gave us a room, but upon entering, we discovered that it did not have the sleeper sofa that we needed. He reassigned us to a different room on the third floor. When we got in the room on the third floor, I should have immediately asked to switched rooms, or reported a problem, but the kids were very tired because it was after midnight, so, we just stayed in the room. We noticed that the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't come on, the shower pressure was so low you couldn't even rinse off, and the AC unit was not like the other room where you could use the wall to turn it on, you had to go to the window to turn the unit on. About 3:00 a.m. one of my children woke me to let me know that she was gagging on the smell of urine. I told her I didn't smell anything and to go back to sleep. When I got up at 6:30 to use the restroom and to get up for the day, I came out of the restroom and was immediately blown over by the smell of urine. I realized that it was coming from the air vent on the AC unit. That morning, I went to the store and got some air freshener, and sprayed the AC unit. While that might have helped a little, we realize that at night time is when the smell was more intense and we figured that is about the time that a homeless person might be arriving back at their camp spots. Every time the air kicked on, it smelled like urine. Between the water, fan, AC, urine smell, pot smell from the hall, and stain on the sheet, my money may be better spent elsewhere. The staff is so nice and it is centrally located, but there are other options."

"Enjoyed our stay here. Rooms, beds were clean . Pool was nice and clean. The lady who was at front desk was kind enough to allow the kids to enjoy in the pool For few more min. Breakfast area was clean. The only things is that I wish holiday inn would change the breakfast menu. Very little healthy options for vegetarians."
