"My husband and I took dance lessons at the Tysons Ballroom Dance Center last year for our wedding dance with Serhii, and he helped choreograph the best dance for us!! Working with Serhii was amazing. He was able to assess our skill level very well to know where to start and where we would be able to work up to, and he helped us improve our dancing so much over the course of just 8 lessons! We did a practice lesson first, and then did the 7-lesson package, which was perfect. Serhii was very flexible with the scheduling - at first we did a lesson once a week until we finished the choreography, and then we did a lesson once a month for refreshing/touching up the dance leading up to our wedding. The scheduling and the number of lessons that Serhii and the team at Tysons Ballroom recommended was perfect - we super appreciated their expertise and advice. At our practice session, we shared our wedding song with Serhii, discussed different types of dances (we chose to go with Waltz), practiced the basics and even learned a few new moves, and finished the choreography to the first verse! Serhii was able to choreograph our dance very quickly and was amazing at taking and giving feedback - he was very open to our likes and dislikes, and gave feedback that I would have never thought of that perfected the dance and made it absolutely picture worthy. He made sure to work in some fun lifts and moves that wow’ed the crowd. The whole team at Tysons Ballroom was amazing as well - they would cheer for us on the sides to help prepare us for the real day! Everyone was so friendly and professional, and we had so much fun every lesson. We also had so much fun performing the dance on our wedding day - it was my favorite part of the day! We received so many compliments on our dance at our wedding!! We still receive compliments on our day - at every holiday this season, our wedding came up, and someone would always bring up our dance! "We had a short window of time to prep for our father/daughter dance. Maraheyata had a tall task but in a few short hours managed to brainwash my clunky feet that I was both Gene Kelley and John Travolta wrapped in one. My daughter needed little work other than to make sure she avoided being stepped on by me. The Tysons Ballroom environment and team were terrific, funny and non-pressuring. We worked on what could be accomplished not things too complicated. Worked out fantastic! Kudos!"

"Great dance studio for social and competitive dancers alike. I danced a little bit 25 yrs ago, but had never been trained properly. A few months ago, on a whim, I decided to go by Tyson's Ballroom, and take advantage of their $29 first class deal (which is excellent). I got hooked from the first lesson, and now I am a regular, working on my first showdance, and even considering entering competitions. Serhii is my teacher. He is a world class dancer and a brilliant teacher. He focuses on teaching the proper technique, not just the steps. He is hard but patient, and such a joy to work with. His partner Rita is also phenomenal, and Suski and Gary in the management are also super supportive of all dancers. Go there! It is never too late to start dancing, regardless of your background and fitness level. It's a fun cardio and strength work out, that does wonders for your spine and flexibility. Dancers never age because of this! And if nothing else, you'll earn some serious cool points in the next wedding you attend."
