"I cannot say enough about how great Zach Michael is at Premier Neuro Therapy. He was encouraging, happy, positive and developed a great rapport with my 20 year old son, a stroke survivor. A large left side deep frontal lobe stroke, and a smaller right side basal ganglia stroke. We are going on three years post stroke. We do A LOT of therapy, so I can tell you, the relationship that a therapist has with a patient is crucial to the therapy being effective. Zach has been one of the few therapists that Mak has had that he truly enjoys, even though the therapy itself was very intense, and painful at times. Mak wanted to work hard for Zach and that is huge! Zach is also very knowledgeable about the central nervous system, muscles and the mechanics of how the body should move. He also knew how to use the ARP Wave neuro therapy device very well. With his guidance, we learned how to best re-train Mak's brain to move correctly. We have been working with Zach for the last three months, and we have seen big improvements in Mak's posture and arm and shoulder range of motion which were all greatly affected by his strokes. We are also now seeing improvements in Mak's balance and ability to walk. We will continue all the exercises that Zach trained us on for Mak and hope to see even more improvements! "Prior to coming to Premier Neuro Therapy, I had shoulder problems from gymnastics that left me unable to lift my arms above my head for 8.5 years (age 14- 22). I went to a number of traditional physical therapists for the first 4 years but no one could figure out what was wrong, so I eventually gave up. After I partially tore my pec, my new physical therapist posited that some of my shoulder issues may be neurological. I had heard about Evan through some other family members and am so happy that I decided try again. I admit, due to my history with other physical therapists, I didn't think he could do anything to fix my problems- but I was happily proven wrong (and lost a bet to my mom). After a couple sessions, I was able to use my arms properly again and lift them above my head! It has now been almost a year and I can still lift them above my head and I can't tell you how exciting that is after spending almost 9 years of my life not being able to do that.
