"Really great place. there are some minor flaws, but its all pretty negligible stuff. Would Recommend bringing cup and mouth guard so you can spar after class. If you don't have gloves and/or shinguards, the loaner equipment can be a bit of a dice-roll. some of its is really good others, not so much. Try to snag the fairtex shinguards at the beginning of class if you can. The floor to ceiling windows can heat it up in there sometimes, so make sure to bring water. The area its in may look a little bit rough around the edges, but its not dangerous or anything so if you're a weekend warrior type don't let that worry you. The staff there is pretty laid back so you don't have to worry about any dumb rules like having to wear their Gi or whatever. Don't come if you're after the premium LA fitness club experience, come for solid training at an absurdly good price"
"Great place! Awesome coaches teach all valuable combat sports here. Super convenient if you or your child into more than one arts. Amazing group or private lessons. Very professional! Very affordable too! The place is very clean and everyone is kind and friendly. We go to many places and this one is our favorite. I greatly appreciate all coaches and highly recommend this place to all good people."
"This is hands down one of the best Muy Thai and Jiu-jitsu gyms in Maryland. They have a regulation ring right in the gym, a huge area to train jiu-jitsu and hands down some of the best coaches around. If you are a complete beginner or you want to compete, this is the place. AAAAAAND you absolutely will not find a better membership fee out there.High value very affordable....Love this place. Stop in and say Hi to Monroe"
"I greatly enjoyed my time training here. Monroe Hall BJJ is a fun, engaging class that really hones in on not only the sport of BJJ, but it's practical uses outside of a tournament situation. I've observed the kids classes that take place before the adults class, and the kids seem to really love being there. I currently trying to convince my younger brother to take classes there as I think it would not only be fun, but good for his esteem and confidence as he gets older."
