"Absolutely the WORST hospital around!! They'll leave you in the waiting room in pain and not give a darn. If I could give no stars I definitely would!!"
"No one was there to access my daughter's port she has used for a year for cancer treatment. No one had the knowledge or equipment available. She was stuck multiple times to get an IV started. Her Physician should have realized this before using the facility. Shame on everyone. Has anyone on staff heard of in-service education?"
"I'd really like to know the ladies name who gets the insurance info. I went in with covid on Thursday, this lady was super loud asking me "all your from here do you know so on n so on I'm like no ma'am no I just want left alone. 2 minutes later a single knock, flies In my door and closes it "do you know be bop, be bop I know you know b bop" lady I have no clue who to b bop is please leave me alone. She then comes BACK with a paper n literally flung it at me, "I know you know b bop" I wish I knew this idiots name I shoulda taped her! I wouldn't go there, I STRONGLY encourage going to wheeling or Columbus. My Dr was pretty nice tho, although when I tell people they didn't even give me a advil they are shocked.... lol o well I can see why they closed now!!!"
"My mom ended up in the er with a white blood cell count of 45000. Her doctor told her he had NEVER seen someone conscious and walking with a count that high. Not only did they keep her in the er for over 24 hours, they fed her awful food and couldn’t even find out where her infection started from. They ran constant tests, every single test possible at that and still couldn't find any specific problem or cause. Scaring my mom with so many could have beens and might be’s, shes found out she might leave today and still has no idea what really happened or what it really is. Me and my mother are VERY close. I just recently got her back in my life and seeing all this happened has really scared me. I stayed with her all day yesterday and we both agreed that me staying was the best option. We asked more than 5 employees if me staying was a problem and none of them said it was. Many nurses and doctors saw me in her room with her from 8:30pm -9:00 am all through the night and none of them said anything about me staying. Most of the night nurses even saw me sleeping, some of them just asked if I needed anything. This morning was the final straw. A nurse named Jackie came in and saw me and asked if i had stayed, we were honest and said yes. she had already had an AWFUL attitude. She asked if someone had given me permission to stay, we were still honest and told her about the many nurses that either said it was fine or saw me sleeping and staying with her late at night. She asked how old I was, we told her my age (18) and then she said that it didn't matter anyway, and that it still isn't allowed. Why ask then? Just trying to start an argument. She said it was just her job to ask but we shouldn't have been so disrespectful and should've found “someone other than nurses” to ask. She also decided it was smart to tell us that people staying over night is just for people with family members on their deathbed. My mother has been nothing but sweet and bubbly with these nurses and doctors even when she was on her deathbed in the beginning. Theres no reason to act like that. These are patients to Jackie, but she doesn’t understand that these patients are family to us and we wont be happy when you speak to them like they are children. I understand not being happy when hospital rules aren’t followed but we asked and got permission, theres no reason to take it out on us."
"My 85 year old dad was taken by ambulance yesterday (7-25-23) to the ER for severe pain in his hip area. He’s had both hips replaced and repaired a total of 5 times. Broken femur, 3 herniated disks in his back, fractured neck, and last year a fractured pelvis. This man does not complain about pain, and he was complaining. They did X-rays , found nothing wrong , the PA spoke to me for less tans 5 minutes. I asked about his pain, she said he said he’s not in pain. Other than the X-rays he was not examined. Not a drop of blood was taken. No questions was asked to me. One nurse asked if I could sign his discharge papers, then asked if I had power of attorney. I do not, my brother does. She did a verbal acknowledgment and throws the papers on his bed. I again asked about his pain. And wanting to talk to a doctor. The nurse returns and said she wants us to see him walk. Two nurses get him up, he’s in pain. Say he did good. I asked again to talk to the doctor. She comes in and tells me he walked (2 steps- and in pain) there is nothing they can do. If it continues bring him back, I said maybe you can come to him (joking-and being a little sarcastic) she says we don’t do that. Finally offered him a shot, which I refused. I take him to leave, we spent 20 minutes trying to get in the car. Several employees walked by and never offered to help. Get him home, and was looking over his discharge papers. He had 2 sets. His and another persons. Not only did they fail to treat him , find what was wrong, take a drop of blood, or examine him. They will charge him for the visit. And I pretty sure the wrong paperwork is every kind of hippa violation. I wouldn’t take a stray animal to this place."
