"I did a surprise decorated room here for my girlfriend and with help from staff accommodation I was able to make her birthday night special. The room was very nice and clean with a beautiful view of the water, if you’re looking for somewhere romantic this is the place. I would definitely come to stay again."

"Clean and well maintained, but the windows have next to no sound insulation so you may as well be sleeping on the street. Extremely loud."

"A travel issue forced us to have to cancel our reservation. We were unable to reach anyone by phone. Our cancellation was due to our issue plus the lack of responsiveness by the hotel. I disputed the charge but the Georgetown staunchly held to their cancellation policy timeline, all without ever answering my numerous phone calls. If customer service is important to you, this place is a bad choice."

"Couldn’t have picked a better place! My husband stayed here after completing our Pittsburgh to DC bike trip. The location is directly on the towpath! And the history of the building is directly linked to the towpath; they have lots of cool photos and info about it on the walls. We picked room Lock 6, since it has a second floor porch where we could safely keep our bikes. (Still locked them though for extra safety). And they even have cameras for additional safety. The rooms are very nicely updated. I also appreciated the quiet hours and it seemed everyone respected them. There was minimal noise from the bustling Georgetown businesses. I really loved the self service coffee in the lower level kitchen. It was nice to make a cup of coffee, sit on the porch and look at the canal before getting our day started. We will definitely be staying here again if/when we return."

"Really cute “tiny house” style apartments. Loved how clean and new everything felt, and especially enjoyed sitting on the shared patio overlooking the canal (dry when we were there, but pleasant regardless). So why the 1-star rating? The deal breaker was the unreliable hot water. It would go from perfect to ice cold in a matter of 30 seconds. Luckily, turning it off for a few minutes gave us another minute or two at a time to finish showering. But this experience left us wanting to stay somewhere else next time. Thankfully, we only had to endure it for one night."
