"Quiet stay. There was however a mouse in my room. Reported this to hotel & front desk associate upgraded my room. I initially wanted to checkout but she was so sweet & calming & professional that she reminded me of a family member. Rooms could definitely be a bit cheaper for the quality. Some rennovations could do them a bit of good but it is in a nice location."
"Room had no microwave or fridge. They may offer them in upgraded rooms, I'm not sure. The water was not exactly hot.I know it sounds all bad but it wasn't at all. The area has a few nice little local places to eat and it gave me a reason to explore."
"I recently stayed days inn that was above average. The place was clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay. However, the staff was just okay. While they were not exceptional, they still provided the necessary assistance when needed. Overall, it was a decent experience, with the cleanliness of the hotel being the standout aspect."
"I recently endured a four-day stay at this hotel, and it was an exercise in frustration. Had I not prepaid and had there been any available alternatives nearby, I would have left in a heartbeat. The hotel was passably clean, and the pillows were fine, but that's where the positives end. The staff acted as if every interaction with us was a major inconvenience. We only approached them a few times, but each instance was met with an exasperated attitude. Their cleaning policy was that they only change towels and trash every three days, forcing us to request basic amenities like fresh towels and trash removal daily. The most aggravating part was the water. Every morning, it took an absurd 10 minutes for the water to heat up. Initially, I thought it was broken, but after an unhelpful and snarky exchange with the front desk, I was told this was normal. The irony of it all? The bathroom was plastered with green-friendly and environmental badges, preaching water conservation. Yet, here we were, each guest running the water for ten minutes just for a hot shower. Talk about wasteful and hypocritical. Other minor gripes included the absence of a laundry bag — a small but expected amenity — and a non-functioning coffee pot, which I didn't report, to avoid more unpleasant interactions. And don't get me started on the parking fee — $25 a night, which, when added to the room cost, makes it a poor choice compared to nicer, similarly priced hotels."
"Don't. Just don't! I need to start by saying that we had no involvement in selecting this hotel. We were in town for a conference, and this was recommended as being closest to the meeting venues. After we found the hotel (there is no exterior signage), and checked in (a slightly unpleasant experience), we went to find our room. As we walked down the corridor to our room, I commented to my partner, "I don't think we'll be murdered. Perhaps injured. We'll probably get bedbugs, and the car will probably be broken into."). And we hadn't seen the room yet. There were two "not quite doubles", so we slept in separate beds for the first time ever. I took the one closest to the window since he's a lighter sleeper than I. Luckily, the street is relatively quiet, as the window closest to the bed was open about an inch and wouldn't close. We found out later that several other attendees had immediate allergic reactions and wound up checking right back out and going to another hotel. In hindsight, I wish we had too. Want more room details? - The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling and wrapped in a plastic bag. - There was what appeared to be black mold in the bathroom vent. - Along the floor and bathroom door there was a strange combination of mold/rust. - The paint on the hinges of the bathroom door appeared to contain hair. - The majority of the TV channels were age locked, so our options were Disney, ABC and home shopping channels. - If you let the water run for several minutes, you "might" get a warm shower. The water pressure was similar to a water pistol. A few other highlights: - When a local restaurant server found out where we were staying, her response was "Oh, I'm soo sorry". - A staff member at one on the conference venues (who lives in the neighborhood) expressed shock that we were staying at "the murder hotel" and said that police activity is a regular occurrence. And despite what it says on their website, there is no Italian restaurant on site (or any restaurant). There is no daily breakfast. And the $25/day parking is for a lot that is questionable at best. For the record, we survived our stay, and the car wasn't broken into, but the bedbug jury is still out. Trust me....just DON'T."
