"A representative came to give an estimate at an appointed time. He took pictures but did not want to speak with my boyfriend bc he was not the homeowner. Which is understandable, except that he came back unscheduled and unannounced this evening. We were in the middle of dinner, and our dogs were out in the house so we could not invite him in. We also were in tee shirts and it was cold outside. We tried to explain that this was not a good time (again we did NOT schedule a follow up evening appointment. He just showed up). Instead he said, well I live 2 minutes away and wanted to stop by. We reiterated this is not a good time. He immediately launched into his sales pitch, holding up a sample gutter, explaining construction…a full presentation. When we interrupted again to please reschedule, he complained that we weren’t really giving him the time of day. At that point I pointed out that if he couldn’t accommodate or listen to us, it’s probably not a good fit. He complained about us all the way down the drive way. And left our gate open. I called one number to inform them and was on automated hold for 20 minutes. Found another number and have been on hold for about 6. Could it be…because it’s outside of normal business hours? If it’s too late in the day to answer the phone, it’s too late for an unscheduled, unannounced outdoors sales pitch. His badge was flipped so I could not see his name, but unless you want a company that will just show up, ignores your needs, and then complain about how rude YOU are being to them, give them a call I guess. Personally, I don’t like being harassed in my own home."
