Reviews of Jackey Cafe
"I’m disappointed in my experience with Jackey Cafe tonight. The service was mediocre and the food was disgusting! Whenever we have a night out in Chinatown, we stop here for a late dinner. Then, we Uber home. We got home and discovered that ALL of our food was spoiled. Shrimp Lo Mein - noodles were dry, sour and had a foul odor. Shrimp and broccoli - the shrimp were mushy, bitter and sour. Chicken wings - (see photo) wings had a foul odor and the bones were dark/bruised. Hot and sour soup - soup tasted like it was at least a day old. Egg rolls - the cabbage was dry/dehydrated. This actually tasted better than everything else. When we called the complain, the “manager” said “that’s impossible” and would only acknowledge our complaint if we, as he stated, “well, bring it back and let me taste it.” This would be an inconvenience, as we don’t like in walking distance. Our ride home is 30 minutes and we weren’t going to drive back to the restaurant after midnight. The foul odor and taste of the food warrants a complaint with the Department of Health; which I will be filling when I go into work on Monday morning. The children in the restaurant (especially the boy) was extremely rude. He was loud and obnoxious - using profanity. The girl had an attitude whenever she was asked to do something other than sit with her face buried in her phone. The woman who took our order was extremely pleasant, as always, and she was try to remain calm while the children were disobedient. This used to be our favorite late night spot. Needless to say, we’ll never go there again. We’re just two customers - I’m sure the owners won’t care about losing two customers."
"Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered delivery, and then got a notification after over an hour of waiting for the food that the restaurant is “out of certain items” and they canceled the whole order… I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for years and if you receive an order you can’t fulfill, it doesn’t take any normal or even below-average operation standards establishment that long to figure out and notify a customer when they can’t fulfill an order. We should’ve read the reviews before ordering because checking the reviews afterwards, it seems this place has no business trying to deliver food to anybody."
"Ordered via Ubereats. This is the best Chinese Food I Have Had In A Longtime. Highly Recommend. Great Prices. Food Was Hot and Fresh at 445am. Thank You From The Graveyard Shift Workers."
"Listen. This place is great Chinese food. Service is what it is. They serve great food and are open later than anyone around. First time I'm DC an dim glad this was one of very few options available at 1AM. Highly recommend if looking for good Chinese food."
"Went here on a Saturday night with my buddies and we all got noodle soup! Beef brisket, roasted duck and ox tail, asked for thick noodles and it was SOOO good. All three broths were on point and all three meats were juicy and tender. Definitely try these dishes."
