"We stayed here a couple of nights ago. It’s right off of I-95 & very close to the National Museum of the Marine Corps, which is where we had an event the next day. The lobby was clean and the front desk employees were very friendly. It smelled really good when we walked in, all the way from the lobby to the elevator to the room. I appreciate a good smelling place, but it was also very clean. I’m particular about cleanliness and when I checked the room, it was immaculate. Breakfast was good and the woman who worked in that area was very friendly as well. The only thing I would say is that the fitness room was very small. It has a treadmill, bike, elliptical, bench with dumbbells and a variety of sizes of medicine balls. It’s just a super tight fit, but I was able to make it work. Overall, this is a great hotel and I’d stay here again."

"Good stay but miss the cookies. They said no more cookies due to co-vid, which is inconsistent with all other Hampton Inns. Co-vid is over and after driving for many hours to arrive there, would really appreciate Dumfries Hampton Inn re instituting the cookie policy like all the other Hampton Inns. That is why we pick Hampton Inn over a different property. Thanks much! Otherwise it was a good stay and we recommend it."

"Stayed last night. Room was good, clean, plenty of towels. Very nice staff as well. Breakfast was also good. Convenient location right off 95. Hotel was quiet and close to several eateries. I’d go back."

"Hampton Inn is a brand that I've been with for many years. This was the first time that I've experienced a full grown German Shepherd's presence in the kitchen and dining area. It was obvious that the animal was not trained. It was appalling. I understand pet friendly and service animals, etc.; however, I feel that animals should be trained and NOT in the kitchen where all guests gather. This is a sanitary concern for me. I was extremely disappointed and concerned for my safety. All other areas of the stay were satisfactory."

"The hotel itself is a bit tired / unkept. The service seemed inconsistent as there were several disgruntled guests in the lobby. The location is not ideal, numerous homeless and drug users surrounding the parking lot and living in the grassy areas. Would not feel safe here for long. Will not be back."
