"The Riggs is a top-tier hotel in the center of Penn Quarter, the heart of DC! Highly recommend for a stay in DC. My wife and I recently stayed at the Riggs to celebrate our anniversary and it exceeded all our expectations. The staff were welcoming, the rooms were spacious, the bed was fantastic, and to top it off, the hotel was decorated for the holiday season. The Riggs does a great job of keeping the bank vibes alive with nice touches in their lobby, rooms, and especially the bar inside the vault downstairs. The Riggs lives up to its historic location. My wife and I love the Penn Quarter area due to its proximity to dozens of national museums, great shopping, and wide range of restaurants."

"If you don't book your next stay in DC at Riggs you are making a BIG mistake. My wife and I stayed there for more than a week for our wedding and everything was simply top-notch. We were greeted by name on arrival by my all time favorite DC resident "Mr. DC" and the stay got even better from there. The rooms are perfect, the location is ideal, and the gym (a big consideration for me) is nicer and just as well stocked as any hotel gym I've used. We were given an amazing rate which allowed us to book several rooms for family who all loved their stays as well. Riggs, and its staff in particular, truly stand out even among the 5-star hotels we've stayed at around the world. So if you will be in DC and need a place to stay, do yourself a favor and stay at Riggs."

"The staff at the property were all amazing - helpful, kind, and willing to chat. We had a great holiday and can’t wait to go back when we are in DC. The restaurant food was a 9/10 and the ambiance is lovely. Don’t miss the bar downstairs with their really interesting drink concoctions and don’t worry, the bartenders are more than willing to help guide you to something."

"The Riggs is a beauty in the historic building of an old bank. Perfectly located for visits to museums and places of interest. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. We are giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the room ventilation was difficult. The air conditioner could not remove the humidity from the room after taking a shower. It was uncomfortably stuffy. Also, when you are charged an extra $40 per night for 2 bottles of water and 2 capsules of coffee, there should be a decaffeinated alternative, or a tea bag. Still, we highly recommend staying there. We had a great time!"

"Love love love the location! I literally had no need for my rental car. Walked all around the city from the hotel and plenty of good food choices around. I had a king bed room, the bathroom was kind of small and had no bathtub. The other room with double queen bed is much bigger and had a bathtub, so it’s probably just the room difference. The bed was excellent, comforter super soft. Just would love to have a slightly better designed bathroom."
