Reviews of ECPI University
"Enrolling at ECPI University held promise for flexibility, but my experience took an unexpected turn when I sought to switch from night to day classes. The university imposed unanticipated testing requirements, and now, they refuse re-entry without passing these tests, leaving me in a difficult position. Additionally, attempts to seek help and support in returning to classes have been met with indifference, reflecting a prioritization of financial gains over student well-being. Adding to the complexity, my pursuit of a nursing career, fueled by my mother's battle with cancer, is now jeopardized by these obstacles. Despite facing adversity, I am determined to overcome these challenges and encourage others to persist in the face of such hurdles. It's disheartening to feel that ECPI University embodies obstacles rather than support on this journey, reminding us that perseverance is essential when faced with unexpected roadblocks."
"This place is fraud you'll waste your time here with a degree. Stop watching their ads on youtube and other social media And money being spent with reading the reviews on here. Doing financial aid. There's no degree your better off with 4 year degree or going to strayer university. Also great school find other schools if you need to do online. There are of no help. They take assessment fees etc"
"TLDR: Slimy, unprofessional, clueless snake oil salesmen who only want your money. Run, don’t walk, away from this place. My partner was considering ECPI for their Radiography program. She went to learn more about the program by visiting the campus, and meeting with an admissions advisor named David. He pressured her to apply on the spot, charged her $120, and had her take a mysterious placement test. It turned out it was a TEAS Exam (which most people actually like to study and prepare for), and ECPI never released her scores to her. A few weeks later, she went back (I went with her this time) to meet with a Financial Aid advisor named Tiffany (I think), who was wonderful and may be the only redeeming thing about this school. We then met with David again. I found him smug, incredibly patronizing, and completely clueless about the program itself. It was like no one had ever asked him any questions before, and he had no idea how to respond. My questions were things along the lines of “what is the acceptance rate into the program?” or “what is involved in the interview process?” – things you would expect an admissions advisor to know. He just kept saying, “oh, you would have to ask the program director about that.” When I raised concerns about the cost (roughly $50,000 all said and done), he would just smile, chuckle and talk about how it would be an investment in her future career, and she’d be on the “fast track” – whatever that means. My partner ultimately decided to enroll in a program at a different university. We had basically forgotten all about ECPI until a few weeks into her semester when David starting calling/texting her about enrollment requirements. When she told him she would not be enrolling in ECPI, this man actually had the balls to text her that I was unsupportive and that she should not “let the one bad influence change your decision to improve your life.” I have worked in Higher Education for nearly 20 years, and I have NEVER witnessed something so unprofessional in my entire career. Please don’t fall for this place; they are quite literally the worst."
"Disappointing admissions experience. The admissions advisor I worked with pressured me to apply (at a cost of $115) and sent patronizing texts/voicemails basically making me feel like if I didn't willingly submit to $50k+ in loans/debt, that I didn't care about my future. However, when requested in person meetings, trying to gather as much information as I could, he had a hard time recalling any of the information I had previously given him, and often made mistakes about my information. All in all, it felt like the goal is to get people to waste their money on applying, and then who cares if they actually get the education they want? It also took a MONTH to get my application fee refunded."
"I have had an amazing experience here. I wish I would've enrolled here years ago. Tyler from Career Services is wonderful. He's helped out my colleagues and they have gotten great jobs right after graduation. Jesse and Rebekah from the IT department have been so helpful. Truly grateful. I am excited to graduate and get started on my career!"
