Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC National Mall

"Great place to stay with family and kids. It's a walking distance to museums. If you drive SUV be very careful using their on-site, next door garage. It is very steep with tight turns to get in/out. They need to make the entrance and exit wider."

"This hotel is a good spot for touring Washington D.C., and features an easy walk to the Capitol & Botanic Garden. Cute lobby with a fireplace & tv and nice spaces to work. The big hit though was morning breakfast. The food was delicious and the ladies working the breakfast area work so hard and do such a good job. Super friendly. The rooms are spacious and feature kitchenettes. I do like this Marriott brand!"

"We stayed here for one night during a long weekend in Jan, 2024. We were traveling under a limited budget and chose this hotel after doing a lot of research. We were not disappointed. The checkout process was smooth. The room (Studio room with a King bed) and the bathroom were very clean and large enough for our family of four. The breakfast was fabulous, considering that it was free; there was a lot of options, even for me who typically choose healthy food (a photo of my breakfast is attached). I asked one person and got a gluten free bagel. We requested a few things from the staff (like a toothpaste and a blanket) and they were very pleasant and prompt. Just next to the hotel, there is a pizza store and a burger store. We could not go to the swimming pool as one in our party had an upset stomach, but heard other hotel guests saying good things about the pool. Because of the $50+ parking charge, we used Colonial parking lot number 177 that is a 3-minute walk from the hotel--we booked using Colonial website for $23 for 24 hours. The Spy Museum, some Smithsonian museums, Botanical Garden, and the Capitol are within walking distance or a $10 Uber ride. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would stay there again."

"Our recent stay at the Residence Inn was mixed. The hotel is in a superb location - within walking distance of the National Mall and its many attractions as well as a block away from a metro station. The employees were another highlight - they were all kind and accommodating. Our room itself was definitely showing some wear - the cabinet doors in the kitchen were broken, the kitchenette was missing many basic items, the toilet did not flush, no outlets on one side of the bed, and there were only 2 pillows on the bed. The layout of the room is great and the appliances had all been recently updated. Breakfast in the morning was basic and what you would expect - eggs, cereal, waffles, yogurt, etc. There was always flavored water in the lobby (a nice touch). Overall, a solid hotel with a great location which is definitely starting to show its wear."

"Excellent stay in a quiet, convenient location. Staff were all so kind, welcoming and helpful; even when there were lines. I stay at a lot of Marriott properties and this is one of the best in terms of service and making me feel valued as a Bonvoy member. Some of the best water pressure I've ever experienced at a hotel. 3-minute walk to Federal Center Southwest Metro stop or Museum of the Bible. Rooms were large and clean, pool was small but fine. Breakfast area had ample seating and great staff. Food was just OK but service and variety were good. There's a little bodega/gift shop in the lobby, which was convenient. Only complaint is there is not much food near the hotel. Don't go to the burger place next door; it's new but the service was terrible. Casey's Coffee on the other side of the hotel was fast and good -- but those are the only places to eat close by. Overall a really nice hotel and good value. Would stay again."
