Reviews of The Bridge Clinic
"The very kind people at this clinic saved my beloved cat’s life this week. I’d give a 10/5 if I could! Earlier this week our 1.5yr old Lil P managed to secretly get into and eat 5ft (!!) of sewing thread. We were in and out of various vets and ultimately received our diagnosis at the Blue Pearl in south Philadelphia - and were quoted ~$12,000 for a necessary life-saving surgery. We simply could not afford this and as such were preparing ourselves to part ways with our loved one. Blue Pearl (who were also great though very expensive) ended up providing us a list of low-cost clinics that The Bridge Clinic was on. We reached out and communicated the situation, and though there was no open time slots - The Bridge Clinic spent the time reaching out to others with existing appointments and found someone who was gracious enough to switch their slot to get us in. Lil P ended up getting her surgery in time (for a price we could afford) and is on the road to recovery. Not only were they able to save her life, they also communicated throughout the whole process in a way that was filled with such candor and kindness. We are extremely thankful for everyone at The Bridge Clinic and the work that they do!"
"They removed 10 of my dogs teeth without consulting me. When you get there, they do not let you in the building. They make you fill out forms in your car and you have no communication with the vet initially. They take your pet from your car window. They did an evaluation inside without me, called me, let me know that they wanted to remove 2 of my dogs teeth. I was okay with this and understood why. My dogs teeth are crowded on the top row between her k9s, but I am diligent about cleaning them, and had a huge role in my dog’s dental health. They called me a couple hours later, leaving a voice mail that said my dog did great and I can come get her. When I got there, a vet tech came out and told me they removed 12 of my dogs teeth. She said it like I wouldn’t even have cared, as if they removed 12 ticks from my dog. I said “I think you have the wrong paperwork, my dog only got 2 teeth taken out.” She went back inside to check, and I started sobbing at the thought that this could be true. She came back out after about 5 minutes and let me know that the paperwork is correct. I am not an angry person, I am not confrontational, and I was kind to the vet tech who talked to me. They said that they needed to be taken out because some were loose and there were periodontal pockets in 3 (okay, that’s fine). I asked why wouldn’t they have called me and talked to me about this before removing her teeth, and she said that they have to work quickly under anesthesia and can’t risk people not picking up. The vet tech assured me that the vet would call me after he was out of surgery. I am so so sad and hurt that someone made this decision for me. My dog is my entire world and I wish that I could’ve just been asked before removing all of my dogs front top teeth between her k9s. I understand if she needed that to be done, but the fact that someone made that decision for me has left me in tears since. And, the vet NEVER even called me. I understand that there’s not that much that can be done. Nothing will bring my dog’s teeth back or go back in time and change the fact that they didn’t call me first. I am just really hurt. I took her here because it had good reviews and low prices, but low prices are no longer worth it to me if it means a lack of communication. Go to an office where you can go in, meet the staff, and feel like you have a relationship with the vet."
"I have had nothing but positive experience with the quality of care for as many as nine cats I have brought here, all needing extensive dental work. Dr. Mills is wonderful and caring, carefully considers what is best for each cat. All have recovered perfectly. And at a third of the cost, worth the 2 1/2 hour drive and day trip from Baltimore. I wish more such offices would open as mouth pain is excruciating and the cost of helping my rescued and adoptable cats is through the roof, but I happily pay The Bridge Clinic. Thank you all. Hans had the pleasure of being in your care, and doing great after 25 extractions!"
"Dr. Alex is the best!! My dog hates the vet. But she knows exactly what to do to make him and me feel comfortable and confident. She is kind, patient, and knowledgeable! She loves on him and conducts a thorough examination. We love Dr. Alex and we know we are in the best hands at the Bridge Clinic!"
"I have a small pack of large dogs and am always happy with the great service the staff here provides. From neutering to shots and my saint's yeast issues, all my questions were answered and they were quite accommodating with my big guy's fear issues. I am glad I found them because their prices are unbeatable as is their service. With a lot of little mouths to feed every penny makes a difference. Keep up the good work and we'll be seeing you soon with a few new pack members."
