"It's a few blocks away from Union Station and you can easily go to the Capitol walking and the same if you wanna walk the National Mall. Of course that will depend on how good you're at walking because if it is not your thing, consider the bus that goes around downtown and all the landmarks. The hotel in general is great, clean and the amenities are also nice. The gym is tiny, though."

"The hotel is primarily focused on technology and caters to a younger generation. You can check in and out of your room using kiosks, but a front counter is also available for support. During my stay, the deductible was $100 per night, but I don't know if there is a limit to how much you can be charged. A valet service is available if you need it. While there is no complimentary breakfast, you can purchase breakfast for $25. However, I found that additional items in the vending machine were quite expensive. You'll need to use a key to take the elevator to access your room. Once in your room, you'll find it cozy, although slightly smaller than I expected. A remote or controller pad near the front door operates all the lights in the room. The shower and bathroom do not have a door knob to secure closure. The shower knob has a button on it to make the water hotter if you need it to be. The bed can be inclined or declined according to your preference using a button located near the bed. There are plenty of TV channels to choose from. Unless your room faces the front of the building, the view might not be what you hoped for. One downside to the hotel is that the walls are extremely thin, and I could hear everything from my neighbors' conversations to their bathroom activities and TV. Despite this, I had a pleasant stay. However, I'm not sure if the hotel's tech-focused atmosphere is to my taste. The distance to all the attractions is why the fourth star."

"I’ve stayed here twice over 2 years. The first stay was amazing. That particular room has no issues. The second stay was decent; however, due to the structural layout of the room, I couldn’t enjoy it. The bathroom doors open towards the toilet, leaving a sliver of space to enter the tiny toilet room (the shower was a separate, tiny room as well). I had to squeeze in there. If I were any bigger or disabled, it would render the toilet room inaccessible. Additionally, the door closes almost by force (air vents suction it) and it only has tiny, cylindrical knob that doesn’t have any grip, so I found myself fighting to open the door or struggling to hold the door open while using the toilet so I didn’t get stuck in there. Very bothersome. There’s ample street parking that’s free after 10pm. It’s $5/two hours thereafter. The lighting is cool. The hotel is quiet. The bed is adjustable, I imagine for people with sleeping conditions or for additional space; however, my bed was squeaky and loud due to it being adjustable. The amenities were closed due to renovations (?) and there was no dining options or bars. This is a cute rest only type of hotel with no extra frills at this time. Hope this is helpful."

"I loved staying at the YOTEL. The rooms were aesthetically pleasing and the hotel utilized a lot of modern technology for checking in and out. My flight landed at 9am and they let me check in early (which is not guaranteed) and the ladies at the front desk were super nice. I liked how I was able to walk to the union station area and coffee shops. The parking garage was super expensive though."

"I stayed at the Yotel Hotel twice this year. My first visit was in August and then I came back at the end of October. Both times I enjoyed my stay. As a solo traveler I had no complaints about the size of the room. In fact I found the room (First Class) very spacious and most importantly of all extremely clean. The only minor issue I had during my October stay is that the cable went out for about 30 minutes or so but since I was preoccupied with another matter at the time it came back on before I could alert Mission Control. Given the cleanliness of the hotel I have to strongly commend the housekeeping crew for such a good job. If there was anything that could have made a great stay at the hotel even better it would have been having the ability to call and order food for pickup or delivery from the hotel restaurant. As a hotel guest I think that should be an added perk to staying at the hotel. Also I wish there was a microwave somewhere on the premises so that guests could warm their food. I did not interact much with staff but the interactions I did have were all pleasant and professional. This will now be my go to hotel for all of my DC visits."
