Cambria Hotel Washington D.C. Navy Yard Riverfront

"When I first arrived, I experienced excellent and friendly service from the front desk agent and the security personnel. My room was okay. It was relatively clean, but the desk chair had dust and leftover debris on it, and the toilet didn’t flush, so I called front desk and asked for a room with a working toilet. I was immediately connected with management and was not only switched to a new room, but I was upgraded to a suite. The suite was lovely and a friendly associate named Kolby came up to assist me with moving my things promptly. I was very happy with the new accommodations and the assistance I received. When I called and requested extra towels the following morning, room service was up within 5 minutes! I’m super happy with the outcome of my stay, and I would stay again. The view from corner suite was mesmerizing!"

"Decent enough hotel room prices are average but there is NO free parking. Maybe you can find a spot on the street that is free from 6pm to 730am but good luck not getting your car broken into. The valet is good and accommodating but it's $55 a day. My biggest complaint is that the whole hotel smells like weed, from the lobby to the hallways and it seeps under the doors into your room."

"Rooms were great! Modern, but comfortable. Check to make sure any items you need are working properly (I found a dead hairdryer). Service Front Desk were very friendly and assisted with an early check-in. However, they never advised that the rooftop would be closed for a private event which was frustrating returning from a tour and the restaurant was also closed. Floor restaurant (Perch or Rowhouse) was delicious. Only had breakfast, but was perfect."

"FYI - parking is not free, despite what it says online. In fact parking was almost as expensive as the room was. The total bill for the place ended up being twice what we expected and budgeted for. And you have to use valet parking because the are is so sketchy. We saw a car parked in the public spot with its window shattered. When we checked in, the picture in the room was shattered. The security person had to come in and tape it up because they couldn’t get it off the wall. Other guests were extremely loud and were throwing room parties. The whole place smelled like weed and they were slamming doors late into the night. It is located near the sights such as the Capitol Building, but the immediate area around the hotel is sketchy. We also saw some of the biggest rats I have ever seen nearby. The staff was nice, but that doesn’t make up for the unexpected bill. For the kind of money I spent here, I could have stayed somewhere better."

"The rooms are very efficient. Everything in the room flows very smoothly. I love the little hooks beside the mirror. The view is GORGEOUS. I love natural lighting and our room got it perfectly. Parking was ample, even though their valet was full. I was able to find free street parking 1/2 block away. Walkable to a few restaurants. Con: I don't know if I sleep light but my neighbors were loud and I could hear everything."
