"Hutton hotels always a good place to stay. This one is in a good location, close to good restaurants and other activities. Rooms clean. Service is great. The valet parking is a bonus. Valet guys very informative on where to go. And funny guys."
"We picked this hotel because they had the floor to ceiling corner glass rooms. We pre-booked one of those rooms through the Hilton Honors website and looked forward to the view we’d get while relaxing in our room. I received confirmation that the corner room had been booked and we were set to go. When we arrive at the hotel, we were told that the room was not available – the room I booked and had prior confirmation. Needless to say, we weren’t happy, and the front desk person didn’t seem to really care. At that point it was too late to change plans so we just took what they gave – a regular king bed room per the front desk. Well, when we got to that room, it was a double queen. At that point we just gave up. Room was ok – a run of the mill hotel room. I attempted to see if Hilton Customer Service could make this right but their only resolution was to tell me I was giving a better price on the room I ended up with - not true, It wasn't discounted it was cheaper because it was a less expensive room. No attempt was made to make this right. We won't be back."
"The first room had stench of the sewer, we called the front desk, the attendant had to “check our room rate”. Why would this make a difference? We were switched to another room at half off.. The second room was a lot better. Went to Castas Rum Bar.. down the street, nice spot."
"The room was typical, clean, and comfortable. We were on the fifth floor and it was quiet. The staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. Only one elevator was working and it was shared with hotel staff. Everyone was considerate and took turns. This was impressive! The location is a great plus - close to the Foggy Bottom Metro station and about 25 minutes walking distance to good places to eat and shop. The area is quiet and very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay!"
"I don't usually write reviews but when I do its because I feel strongly about it and I hope it will help someone making a decision. The best thing about this hotel was the location its fairly close to many great restaurants, parks, coffee shops etc. This hotel does not offer breakfast so when making a decision be aware of this you will have to go out and spend extra for breakfast. The hotel had many amenities especially a wonderful penthouse seating area and pool. The gym was super small with dated equipment. For a Hilton Hotel I really expect a bit more luxury especially for downtown D.C I mean its the nations capital and this Hilton hotel was very dated in both design and furniture the bed creaked with every movement and my biggest gripe is the toilet roll was super far distance from the toilet you had to lean over very far to reach I nearly fell over a few times, that tells me when anticipating the room layouts they did not pay attention to detail. Another thing is there were no light switches to control lighting you have to go around the room to every lamp to turn the lights on and off which was annoying. Something I liked very much was the air conditioning especially when it was blazing hot outside you could have the room set to your preferred temperature. Also to my surprise many times upon my stay I saw homeless people sleeping in the lobby area, why did the staff do nothing to remove them? the mat in the entrance was filthy as well as the couches in the lobby area be aware sitting there. Final thoughts if you are looking for a "budget" friendly hotel in downtown D.C this is a great option but the fact that they do not offer breakfast leads to increase costs, but the location is very good."
