"Normally, I never leave reviews, but I truly believe that this one is necessary. I came to this salon in 2019 several times and was pretty happy with the results. I felt that there was extra steps taken so that my acrylics didn’t lift. But the owner always kissed me on the cheek which made me very uncomfortable. Fast forward to 2 days ago, July 2021 I went back to a full set with the owner. For starters literally one second after the previous client stood up from her chair, Tara already had me sitting down. She did not clean any instruments, get any new ones out. I am a licensed professional and think this is absolutely inexcusable. She even made me wash my hands as soon as I came in but did not make the others 2 customers after me wash theirs? Was it because I was the only one in the establishment wearing a face mask and she thought this would make me think they had strict sanitation protocols? How about start with clean nail tools so we don’t get fungal infections. She finished my full set in about 50 minutes, which is the fastest i’ve ever seen. What really bothers me is that the owner did not trim or push back my cuticles. I actually pushed them back myself today and trimmed them and they look at least a week grown out. I GOT THEM DONE 2 DAYS AGO. Lack of cuticle care leaves a fresh manicure looking sloppy. When the acrylic was applied it was hardly filed like how other salons file. It was dripped on the underneath and she did not check to make sure each nail was even with the opposite hand, or trim off extra acrylic. I do not appreciate spending $55 plus a great tip because I am a nice person who also did not examine my nails before leaving. During my manicure she reached under the plastic between us and squeezed my cheeks so hard it hurt for like 3 minutes afterwards….pretty weird and unprofessional. In the photos you can see how grown out they look after I pushed my own cuticles back. Also my nails have no shape; they are flat with no apex. This is not a good look for nails that cost $55. Another part of this that makes me very upset is that the owner constantly talks about business being slow and for me to tell people I got my nails done there. Why should I promote your business when you do not value me as a customer? You take less than an hour on a FULL SET and leave my nails in less than great condition and want me to get you more business? I did not write this review to put down Tara or her business but I think people deserve to know the truth. I gave this place so many chances and was so excited to go back after nearly 2 years! Never, ever going back."
