"The only good thing for this store is it is very close to my house. The credit card readers are shaky and often don't work. The store is crowded and the parking is complicated. Prices are high and selection is limited. And I wish it would be open to 11pm."
"Great store and all but some of the employees are rude and lazy. It’s been three weeks that I’ve been coming to the store to look for this “Cadbury milk chocolate with roasted almonds” since I took the last one off the shelf which was in terrible condition by the way and this product has not been restocked. I asked the personal shopper on Monday (10/16) if they could look in the back and they rudely told me to go to the front which I did. When I went to the front, I asked about the product again, and a lady took my phone number and the product details and said a manager will call me back the following day, and I received no call. So now that I returned to the store today (10/18), I see that the product still has not been restocked and it’s been three weeks so far. I went up to Customer Service again to ask about the product, and the gentleman pulled out his personal phone instead of his my device/scanner and proceeded to look at the giant app (which wasn’t working by the way) when he could’ve used a scanner to pull up the inventory. I asked if he could send someone to look in the back and he told me no, so I just went on about my day. It’s very frustrating to receive this kind of Customer Service especially if you work in customer service yourself. I work at target and we never provide this kind of service to people. If a customer asks you to look in the back, you should go look in the back for a product or just take the right steps like using a my device/scanner to see if it’s in the store at all or provide the delivery date of the product."
"I Instacart in the area of this Giant and never had a pleasant experience. Customer service has completely disregarded my presence to ask a question and proceeds to help another customer that isn’t African American. He has done this to me on 3 separate occasions. The staff aren’t friendly and always look miserable. I wanted to address customer service about this today but just decided to let it go. I will write the corporate office instead."
"Livid. I go out of my way to shop at Giant because I love the company and the store. At the Hungerford store, they have 2 cashiers and the self check out. Except no one was running self check out and I tried to check out twice and the computer weights failed. I waited more than a few mins and no one came. Employees Staring at me and not helping. I switched machines- same problem. I was not the only one having issues with the self Checkout machines. No one came to help. So I went to get in line- I get in line and the cashiers machine screwed up. So I went and waited another 5 mins for the only working teller on a busy Saturday morning. My ice cream is liquid- my meat is warm. And I am wondering why- WHY don’t they assign someone to self check out. And why- why- does no one seem to care that the shoppers can’t leave with their goods because their machines are all Broken. Either hire more Cashiers or change the self check out machines because Ithey do not function. Extremely disappointed in the lack of care here. It’s my daughters birthday party day and we are late with melted ice cream. It’s just bad. Go somewhere else"
