Century Nail

"I never usually give reviews but today I think I have to. I went to Century Nails because I used to be a customer years ago and thought I’d try it out, (as I am a regular at Wonder Nails in Nassau Park) but wanted to give it a try because my mom said she likes it (mind you she gets basic mani’s). I was anyways having a rough morning, and had acrylics on (from Wonder Nails) that I wanted to remove. The nail stylist asked if I wanted to cut my nails which I said yes to but not too short. When he started cutting, I felt that he was going too close to my skin and warned him that he was going too close. He proceed to do so and it was paining so bad. I continued to tell him, but by the middle finger he cut so much off that my finger BLED so much. He said he was genuinely sorry which I appreciated and gave me a discount, but it was still $27 when he said $25 on the phone but I didn’t care at that point, I just wanted to get my manicure done and leave, yet the whole thing did take 2 HOURS! I was genuinely in so much pain and in tears and honestly this was my first (in a while) and last time at Century. The staff was nice and the place was clean, but in all honesty I can see why I switched salons. Also not to mention that my nails look so basic and I could have done this myself, but I think the nail polish color is pretty and the other treatments he did for my mani like removing cuticles and giving a massage was nice (which wonder nails doesn’t really do). Not trying to hurt their business in any way but I think they need to do better. Literally typing this review with my nails still throbbing…"

"Century nails is my go-to salon, even though there are many nail salons closer to my place. I’ve been visiting for a couple of years, and the staff is always very welcoming, genuinely nice, and similar to an earlier review, treat you like family. Brian is a very experienced nail technician, I’ve posted one of his wonderful nail designs a week after the manicure. Highly recommend:)"

"I have been coming here for 10+ years, seeing Elayne is never a disappointment. My mom comes to her and now also my step daughter. Elayne takes her time every time and our nails last for months without falling off or chipping. I have attached some photos below of my nails from this last year. Always happy with the service I get and will wait just to get Elayne when coming in as a walk in."
