"Dr. G and his team are amazing! I have a reptile, a leopard gecko named Tootsie, and Dr. G is the second vet I have visited to help with an eating issue. Just for a comparison, the first vet I went to felt extremely rushed (he saw multiple animals at once) and was very intimidating (not very sympathetic to my pet's issue). The solution my previous vet gave me ended up hurting my baby more so I was very nervous to seek out another vet. Dr. G and his team are the complete opposite. They see each animal one at a time, are informative, and truly care about each pet! From my past experience, I was scared to give Tootsie antibiotic injections (she is a special case) and they let me bring her in every three days for them to give her the medicine instead of me. My girl is still a WIP but the entire team is very dedicated to getting her better and I am so happy I chose to go here! I wish i did from the beginning."
"Dr. G and his team have cared for my dog and my 2 cats, and my dear rabbit who passed away at the age of 10. Not only are they friendly and kind, but they have provided excellent care for every one of our pets. Both of my cats have heart murmurs, one cat has cardiomyopathy and a chronic intestinal disease. Dr. G has done a great job breaking down his priorities for their care. If a test or treatment is optional or “nice to have,” Dr. G has clearly articulated what is most important and how he’d like to proceed. He takes care to ensure I understand exactly what is going on, even going so far as to show us the machinery they use to run the tests on our pets and explaining everything he’s doing and the desired outcome. We’ve moved around a bit so I have taken my pets to various vets in other states over the years. I have several stories I could share about Dr. G finding the root cause of an issue when our pets were sick and other vets had missed it. Or recommending a different course of treatment that resulted in better outcomes, happier pets, and literally thousands of dollars in savings. Even just consoling me when I’m stressed with a kind word or gesture. Dr. G, Chrissy, and Michelle are all amazing, kind, and beyond competent. They go out of their way to be kind to me on a regular basis. I am incredibly thankful for them all."
"Dr. G and Michelle have been so incredibly helpful with both my dogs. We initially brought one of my dogs in for physical therapy following her back surgery. The outcome we got was more than we could have hoped for! My pup is strong and doing so well after they helped us rehab her back. We’ve now been with both my dogs for PT and acupuncture as they’ve gotten older and had some struggles with pain and stiffness. Both Dr. G and Michelle are great at assessing where there are sources of pain, addressing it in the office, and giving us exercises to do at home so the pups have a better quality of life. 5 stars is not enough for what they have done!"
"Very kind and caring staff... and they take rats! Our rat, Darwin, had tumors so large they were making it difficult for her to walk. Dr. Gerstenfeld and his staff surgically removed Darwin's tumors - nearly one third her body weight! She came through the surgery beautifully, returning our three year old rat to her mobile, cuddly, youthful (in spite of her age) self! To his credit, Dr. Gerstenfeld initially suggested meds and ways to keep Darwin comfortable - not trying to guilt us into subjecting an old rat to surgery. However, when we asked if they would be willing to try it, Dr. Gerstenfeld and his staff were all in! I think they were nearly as excited as we were about Darwin's successful surgery!"
"We were able to schedule a quick appointment for our guinea pig after discovering a lump. The surgery to remove the lump was as smooth as it could have been, and our guinea pig is back to normal. The doctor and staff are always available by phone to answer our various questions about recovery."
