"I’ve been going to this place for about a year now after hearing of it through word of mouth. Now I hate going anywhere else. Sue, Jenny and Julie have done a great job each time. Julie remembers the shape I like and always files the spinny thing underneath my nails, which I love. I don’t go anywhere else in Sparta because I know I will leave here happy. One time after realizing that something was miscommunicated even AFTER my hand baked they fixed it no problem with no additional charge. Another time they let me come in right before closing to fix one of my thumbs that broke the night before I started my new job. They quickly got to know me and always ask how me and my mom are doing. Thanks for a great experience each time!"
"By far the best nail salon in all of Sparta, all the women, Susan, Jenny, Julie, and Ruth are very talkative and have personal relationships with their customers. For me personally, they constantly ask about my family who usually accompanies me to the salon when they are not around and ask about my sisters wedding. All of these women are kind. It does however take some time to get your service completed but that is a good thing. I love going here because I know That my services will not be rushed and that the end result will be absolutely perfect. They use high quality products and the outcome lasts on my nails for over a month. Reading some of the reviews on here, I noticed a few about tip… I have been coming to this salon for about three years and not once has anyone ever commented about how much I’ve left in tip, so for those that are saying that, that is just not the case at all. These women work hard to fulfill every customers requests; even doing new things they haven’t done before like designs or shapes. I definitely recommend coming to this salon and seeing for yourself! They try to better themselves every day and genuinely try to better their business by reading reviews left on here."
"Super friendly staff! The design they did was exactly what I was looking for and came out so beautiful, would definitely recommend "
"I can attest to what others have said about the hang up this place has with regard to tipping. Stopped here for the first time recently for a pedicure. When you get in the chair they immediately try to upsell you a service that costs $10 more with the promise you get a longer leg massage. I could tell the woman (who I believe may have been one of the owners) cooled to me when I declined the increased service. Regardless, she did a great job and I was happy with the result. She did speak to me a couple times a little abruptly when asking me to switch feet, place them in the water, etc., and while it wasn't at the level of being rude, it was different than salons I have gone to in the past. When I went to sit at the dryer they asked me to pay. I noted they had a large sign about gratuities not being placed on the card. I paid with my card and gave a cash tip, which equated to 20%. Immediately upon receiving the tip, the woman started loudly speaking in her native language and almost making an announcement to the room. The tone was agitated. At first I didn't think anything of it, but then I clearly heard the brand of my wallet and shoes referenced. Don't think it would take too much investigation to conclude her rant was about me. They charge $33 for a basic pedicure. I think they're expecting people to hand them $40 and call it a day. I would have done that had I been permitted to place the tip on the card. They need to recognize that no one pays in cash anymore. I made sure I had enough cash to tip at 20% and we are talking about the difference of $1 when it comes to what I gave vs what I believe they expected. They also need to recognize there are literally three other nail places as you go down Woodport Road that are not even a 1/2 mile from their business. One I know does comparable work and is $3 cheaper. I was planning on making this my go-to salon for manicures and pedicures, but after my experience and after reading similar experiences about how they shame people about tipping, I will not return."
"Came here with my daughter who asked for a very specific service (soak off old gel extensions and add acrylics) Susan suggested a much less toxic and less expensive option. She did the best job on her nails! Perfect length and beautifully done. She was so very professional and up front about cost. We will definitely be returning!"
