"We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Sunday night 10/8 leaving Monday 10/9. We were coming off the C & O trail. It’s rideable from the trail. There is a large grocery store across the road which offered lots of high end food items as well as typical groceries, a liquor store (open on Sunday evening), we had options for dinner. We drove into the lovely town of Brunswick for dinner. The hotel is immaculate and the staff greet you as if they’ve known you forever. The rooms were updated, clean, and warm. I wanted a late checkout and this was accommodated as well. We couldn’t have asked for more. The hotel offers “biker’s rate” for those using the trail and has a hose ready to clean the bicycles. What a gracious host! I saw a lovely rec center walking distance and enjoyed the trail for a mid-morning run. Felt safe on the trail, the town looks idyllic. I took a yoga class in town at Roots & River - just lovely! The restaurant we ate at was Potomac Street Grill, amazing Mediterranean food as well as Tex-Mex and traditional American fare. Delicious and reasonably priced."
"This place is spotless! The staff do such a wonderful job and I hope the management give them a good bonus. I always read reviews before I book places after a bad holiday inn experience this year. They have good reviews for a reason. I am a light sleeper and its really important for the hotel to be quiet."
"This hotel was so clean! The rooms were roomy, clean and modern and seemed almost new. Had everything we needed even with special touches like pillows labeled firm and soft! Breakfast in the lobby was good. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!"
"Very nice and clean hotel. Seems to be fairly new. Still has that new smell. Rooms are really nice and clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Debbie at the front desk was awesome! Breakfast was good. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area."
"This hotel is excellent. The rooms are very clean and modern. The area around the hotel is beautiful. There is a gas station and grocery within a 2 minute walk. The breakfast is outstanding with warm coffee, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, and pancakes. Parking is free."
